Publisher's summary

As the fight for Boran-al's Citadel draws to a close, Dave's learned one important lesson: To protect what he cares for, he's going to have to become stronger. He can't just sit back in Cliff-Hill and take things easy. Emerilia is filled with danger as well as possibilities. It's time that Dave becomes a Master Smith.

the story developed slowly but it was good

I can speak and talk about a book about how slow everything was but somehow I did like it and I don't know how to explain it correctly but the story was good and yes I can speak about how the story could have been more but I liked it like it is I want say I hadn't issues with the book but I didn't thought about the issues I did like the characters and I did like the slow burn in the book so overall for me it was a four-star book and the narrator did a good job so yeah I did enjoy the book
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

good but not on its own.

Good basis for future books but lacks the ability to stand on it's own. similar to the middle of "the wheel of time" series.

world count

Please God, stop giving a complete review of stats every time one of them increases. You are padding the word count and annoying listeners. Entire paragraphs are repeated every 5 minutes. I like the series, but die every time the main character looks at his character sheet. Just update what changes please.

Addictive like a MMORPG

Good stuff, and being able to listen instead of read keeps my hands available to work on other things while enjoying the story.

first 25-50% of a book sold as a whole book

Wasn't bad... it just seemed like the author was writing, got to a certain word count, and ended the book.

I feel like you usually have the first 25% of a book to introduce things like new magics etc. 50% of the book to work your characters through the ringers and build on their characterictaization, and the last 25% for the exciting climax.

This felt like the first 25%. Dave builds armors. Dave becomes master Smith. book end.
The main characters are litterally still training in the last 10 minutes of the book and I kept expecting something to happen.

still going to try out the third...

Great series

Mostly listen while driving so don’t get too many opportunities to write a review. But, this series was good enough that after reading it, I bought it on audible and have been enjoying it again. Very good series.

Excellent But...

Excellent performance but the story seemed to lack a definitive climax. Though the story continues from book one the pace makes it feel like a filler episode instead of its own story. ***BOOK ONE SPOILER*** The first book had a sense of urgency as the prepared for the epic boss fight (climax), but this one just doesn't have that. There's plenty of leveling up and then a promise that real conflict will be coming soon. Though I did enjoy the book and will definitely get the next one I can't help but feel like this one was just a little lacking.

Good progress

only reason I didn't give higher performance rating was there were enough parts of the book that sounded like they recorded the audio through an old 8 track sound quality. still works and you can hear it, but definitely some static or garbled sounding speech.

great but...

The story is fantastic and well paced. The Narrator was perfect for the book loved his performance. My only problem is the relationships between the main character and females. I'm so sick and tired of every male character it litrpg books going from competent men to absolutely useless boys who cant think, act, or do anything without 1: a woman always there to treat him like crap 2: being always behind every female he meets turning into a simpering weakling when a woman comes into the picture. 3: Needing a women to make every decision for him and any time he does anything himself they always find a way to get angry or treat him like crap. I almost took 2 stars away for that but the rest of the story is so good that it didn't seem fair.
