Publisher's Summary

For 40 years, the Twelve Colonies of Man experienced peace, united since the war against the man-made Cylons. The Cylons, mechanical beings created to perform the manual labor civilization required, were gone forever...or so humanity thought. But in those years, the Cylons developed new Cylons that looked and acted like humans, with one goal in mind: to destroy all humanity! When they suddenly attacked the Twelve Worlds, humanity's extinction seemed inevitable.
Only a single warship survived the massive attack: Battlestar Galactica, the oldest ship in the fleet, ready to be decommissioned and turned into a museum. Commander William Adama, himself set to retire, had but one course: to marshal the meager forces available, a ragtag crew of misfits and green recruits, to prevent their enemy from wiping out the last vestiges of the human race. But the Cylons, stronger, smarter, and driven to destroy their creators, may just be too powerful for them and all of humanity to survive.
Based on the teleplay written by Ronald D. Moore and Christopher Eric James; based on a teleplay by Glen A. Larson.

The miniseries, written

This audiobook is indeed the first few episodes of the (new) BSG. The narrator was very effective. This book was actually a good thing for me -- I bought this first, and then was enticed to go watch the series. It hooked me, and I am glad I heard this, as it helped fill in some backstory history (better than the TV episodes did), and provided some additional personality to the characters. Of course, like the ongoing tv series, don't expect any nicely wrapped up conclusion, just a story arc.

If you watch BSG, and don't like hearing the same story twice, then don't buy this, you will be bitter if you do.

But BUY this if you don't mind hearing the start of the story again, this time with a little more colour. And I highly recommend this to anyone who isn't watching the new series, but is interested in what it is all about -- it will set the stage nicely.

Where is: "The Rest of the story"!

What made the experience of listening to Battlestar Galactica the most enjoyable?

Just sitting back spinning up the FTL drive and enjoy.

What other book might you compare Battlestar Galactica to and why?

Not a frakin one. No really, I was around when this story was one T.V. with that guy that sells dog. This time around was totally different. Twisted!

Have you listened to any of Jonathan Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Mr Davis's makes sure each character glow with; his, special tonallity of performance.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Keep watchin it over; you will get it.

Any additional comments?

MORE! MORE! MORE! Yes would like to see the rest of the story put to audio. And if is you have my credit. Thanks
