If that isn't enough, I also have to find the queen of all demons and recover the Holy Grail.

It's not like it's the end of the world if I fail.

Exciting Listen

This story pushes the boundaries of what is considered good and evil. Nothing is what it seems, friends are enemies and enemies are friends. There is non stop action and the narrations is excellent. The book ends in an infuriating cliff hanger.

Just what I was looking for

Jeff Hays performs quite well with this well-named story, Balance. The accents, characters, emotions woven into a suspenseful tale with a surprise ending/beginning. I look forward to more from this author/narrator duo.

Diabolically celestial

Interesting concept. It is definitely a twist on the war in heaven. The emphasis on the grey areas made it interesting. Jeff hays provides great narration.

My new favorite

This is my new favorite series. The mythology and world created was unique and I quickly fell I love with it all. Lots of well written action, I was never bored. It reminds me a bit of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. The whole idea of maintaining a balance where no one can win is infuriating. But it'll sure keep me coming back for more. I'm very curious to read the rest of these books to see where it's going.

An Abrupt Cliff Hanger..

This book centered on the male lead, Landon Hamilton, and a couple of women who were inexplicably drawn towards him.

Throughout the story Landon learned how to use his powers, fought off the bad guys, and he realized the need for a balance between good and evil.

Landon could detect lies, so the fact that he didn't see the betrayal at the end of the book was a bit.. odd.

Overall, this was an entertaining read.


Jeff Hays did well with the narration.

Angels demons and half breeds oh my!

Great story. Love that Dante is brought to "life" in this story. You have angels vs demons, classes in each and half breeds with unique powers. Rules and powers that are revealed as the story goes on, heaven and hell vs each other with mankind against both sides. Reminds me loosely of Spawn. Well written story with great characters and twists. The end is a cliffhanger that will leave you so anxious for the next book. I am eagerly awaiting it myself. This book kept me listening almost non stop until I finished it. The narrator is. Very versatile and does a great job bringing the characters to life. Intriguing

This first book of the trilogy was very enjoyable it brought out some concepts that I had never thought about concerning the balance between good and evil. I look forward to seeing how Mr. Forbes continues to develop it.

Demons, Angels & Divine

A great series by author M.R. Forbes! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I look forward to listening to the other series. The story captures every emotion and the characters are intriguing. This is a must listen to series!!

Narrator Jeff Hays is by far the best narrator that I've listened to in years. I guess you can call me a fan of his but even though I am, my review is unbiased. He does a fantastic job with distinguishing each characters voice. This young narrator is going places and authors he's worth every dollar! He is a very talented narrator and M.R. Forbes couldn't have chosen a voice to fit his stories any better than Jeff! Overall, a perfect 5 star rating!!!!
