Publisher's summary

An all-new Stormlight Archive novella, Edgedancer, is the crown jewel of Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection, the first audiobook of short fiction by number New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson.

The collection will include nine works in all. The first eight are:

"The Hope of Elantris" (Elantris)

"The Eleventh Metal" (Mistborn)

"The Emperor's Soul" (Elantris)

"Allomancer Jak and the Pits of Eltania, Episodes 28 through 30" (Mistborn)

"White Sand" (excerpt; Taldain)

"Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell" (Threnody)

"Sixth of Dusk" (First of the Sun)

"Mistborn: Secret History" (Mistborn)

These wonderful works, originally published on Tor.com and elsewhere individually, convey the expanse of the Cosmere and tell exciting tales of adventure Sanderson fans have come to expect, including the Hugo Award-winning novella, The Emperor's Soul and an excerpt from the graphic novel White Sand.

Arcanum Unbounded also contains the Stormlight Archive novella Edgedancer, which appears in this audiobook for the first time anywhere. It is a story of Lift, taking place between Words of Radiance and the forthcoming Oathbringer.

Titles for chapters, please.

Since this is a collection of short stories, wouldn't it be nice to have some indication of where one story ended and another began? Surely I'm not the only one who bought this particular volume with the intention of reading a specific story and then had to scroll through it, chapter by chapter, to find the story I wanted to listen to. Quite annoying. Of course, the stories themselves are wonderful. It is, afterall, Brandon Sanderson. Definitely worth adding to my collection, lack of chapter titles notwithstanding.

just can't like Kate

love his books. do not like Mrs Reading's male voices. I really wish Michael and her would share narration based on point of view but he would voice men and she women.

Best narrators ever.

I love all things Kramer and Reading. I'm struggling through Elantris because y'all aren't reading it.

Lift is a delightful character!

I really enjoyed Edgedancer dealing the escapades of Lift. She is a delightful character, full of shenanigans and child like wisdom.

Always impressed

I was looking for a survey of his works and it's like every short story makes you want to go out and buy three books. I'm amazed at how good this writer is and his ability to command multiple world's so independently.

Also shout out to the narrator's who are quickly becoming my favorite. I look forward to every female point of view character as Kate is simply amazing.

EXCELLENT readers

This is a fantastic little set of short stories for anyone who has enjoyed the Stormlight Archives, Elantris, White Sands or Mistborn. Not only does it wrap up a lot of loose ends, but peeks into some lives I was really interested in from multiple worlds. As always, just the best readers of all time as well. Definitely recommend this archive.

Great Assortment of Stories

For those unfamiliar with Brandon Sanderson's work this collection is a great introduction to his universe and writing style. For those already familiar with his Cosmere this adds additional depth and dimensions to the stories you love as well as introduces you to new people, planets, and magic/powers.

Nice collection and addition to the Cosmere

I really liked this collection. I've read or listened to a lot of these already in the "Emperors Soul" and Mistborn "Secret History" in either ebook, or audible or Graphic Audio for Sixth of Dusk. But it was nice to listen to Michal Karmer and Kate Reading reading these other stories again.

New for me was the Allomancer Jak which was both funny and informative taking characters that do exist separately in the second era of Mistborn and explaining how things like Koloss still exist in this era without the Lord Ruler. Still didn't explain how they survived the apocalypse.

The Secret History was a nice revelation when I first read it and tells us all about the things happening behind the scenes hidden from mortal eyes "mostly" in the cognitive plane and how Kelsior helped saved the world.

The Stormlight novella was the best part of this collection and is seriously what I bought the book for. The novella should be called Stormlight Archive Vol 2.5 since it will act as a informer about what happened to Lift, Nan and the Assasin in White inbetween books 2 and book 3.
Well worth the credit.

Loved it

Really brings together a group of books that are excellent alone into a great single body of work.
