Publisher's Summary

Perturabo - master of siegecraft and the executioner of Olympia. Long has he lived in the shadow of his more favoured primarch brothers, frustrated by the mundane and ignominious duties which regularly fall to his Legion.
When Fulgrim offers him the chance to lead an expedition in search of ancient and destructive xenos weaponry, the Iron Warriors and the Emperor's Children unite and venture deep into the heart of the great star maelstrom that haunts Perturabo's dreams.
Pursued by vengeful survivors from Isstvan V and the revenants of a dead eldar world, they must work quickly if they are to unleash the devastating power of the Angel Exterminatus.

Great Purturabo Novel

Graham Mcneill has this nasty habit of lacking nuance and vomiting plot points out, Angel Exterminatus seems to be a bit more dialed back on this. The habit still shows up with Fulgrims parts but his version of Perturabo was quite well done and full of decent subtleties. Perturabo is a brilliant character of brooding and self inflicted idiocy with logical(if a bit petty) reasons for his choices. Where Fulgrim in Fulgrim feels knee jerky and rediculous the cold calculations of Perturabo and his need to express in Angel Exterminatus make him one of the more interesting Primarchs to follow along with, right up with The Khan or Lorgar.
