A toddler and a snowman.
Everyone in Witch Central knows about Jamie Sullivan's precog vision: the one he saw when he first laid eyes on the woman who would one day be his wife.
Now Nat and Jamie have it all. A fiery, adorable daughter; the kind of marriage that lasts to forever and beyond; and deep roots in the love, antics, and magic of Witch Central's leading family.
Those parts of the vision have all come true. All that is missing is one small boy with dancing eyes.
And all the magic in the universe can't seem to make him real.

Extreme tear jerker!
Martha Harmon Pardee infuses the text with such feeling. As well as the story is written, I'm sure I would still feel strongly about this book. Martha just makes it that much better.
I'm not going to compare this to anything, because Deborah Geary has successfully made an excellent world of her own, that doesn't compare easily to anything I've read. It has magic, romance, mischief, and life lessons all rolled into one. Where there are other books that include any or all of these things, Deborah Geary's series are unique in their approach.
She infuses such feeling in each separate character. She does a fabulous job of making each one recognizable.
Lots of them. The moment they decided to let the idea of their little boy go. The despair of all involved was palpable. Then the tears of joy when everything worked out in the end.
I have loved A Modern Witch series. I really enjoyed the continuation of favorite characters stories in this new series. Deborah Geary delivered again and improves with every story.
