SPACE WAS GENERALLY A VERY BORING PLACE
This book is more about Amish, than anything else. At first I enjoyed the idea of a family man in a story involving space. I am not religious, but actually appreciated the many references to God and the bible. The lack of foul language was new and different. I could even due without the sex you get in most vampire books. My problem was in the basic writing. The book is long cause the author writes too much detail mentioning non important things. A famous writer once mentioned that in describing a room, if you say there is a gun on the wall, than sometime in the story you must use that gun. All the minute detail is distracting.
SHE MAY BE AN INSTRUMENT OF THE DEVIL, BUT A POLITE INSTRUMENT.
I don't want to get to rough with the reader, as he sounds like a nice guy, but he is not a narrator, he is a reader. My wife is more animated when she reads to the grandchildren. Everybody sounds exactly the same. When the people change it takes a few minutes to figure out who is talking. When are producers going to realize that a narrator is as important as the writer? I narrator can make you or break you. This reader makes bad writing sound worse.
Great concept, bad writing. To this book I say NE.
