Hack writing of the worst kind, a painful listen.

I want to return this book just to get it out of my library, I don't really care about the money I paid for it. the attempt for the atmosphere and/or feel of the put-upon hard boiled down on his luck detective type of world was poorly executed, overdone and completely lacking in depth to make it believable. I have purchased another title by this author as well, and the storytelling is just as disjointed in that book as well.

The synopsis for this author's books are better than the storytelling.
