"Robson's blend of smart-alecky wit, good old-fashioned romance, and suspenseful episodes of fighting off evil spirits form a paranormal thriller that will make pulses pound." ( Publishers Weekly)

Cursed is right

I absolutely love this series. I feel so bad for Celia in this one, I just want to give her a hug.
ok, so there's some serious action going on in this book that will have you on the edge of your seat and have you gasping.
I need book 3 now

DAMN!!! GREAT SERIES

Would you consider the audio edition of A Cursed Embrace to be better than the print version?

The action and tension is measured nicely in this series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

CEILA is a cross between Laura croft and the beast with emotional overload.

Which scene was your favorite?

I actually liked the end even though I realize the fight for love could not be resolved in this book. I completely understand why it had to happen like this.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely! although I fell asleep with it on my ears. Of course I had to rewind to the beginning because I knew I was going o listen to it again any way.

Any additional comments?

Even though I understand why she left with the vampire, I am a firm believer that one should not settle. The pain that will result if she sleeps with him, wont just hurt him, (according to this character) It almost destroy her. . .

Weird Sister are embraced. Great Book

Where does A Cursed Embrace rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I actually enjoyed this one better than the first one. It was full of excitement, emotion, and action. I felt we got to learn more about the sister and how the supernatural community feel about them. I found this book to also cause so much emotion while reading it I felt for the sisters as well the relationship between the sisters and there lovers. I was really sad to see the choices that were made but I did understand them I hope we get see happiness for those who had to make them and I also look forward to see were the relationship and the supernatural world takes the sisters. I highly recommend this one and the first one if you enjoy supernatural stories.

What other book might you compare A Cursed Embrace to and why?

Yasmine Galanorn Other World series. It is a lot like those sisters but without the fae part.

Put my emotions through their paces

A CURSED EMBRACE put my emotions through their paces; first I experienced joy over Celia solving her Aric/Misha crisis, then frustration when the latter crashed & burned, followed by grief over what befell the Wird sisters, and finished off the spectrum with bewilderment because of the ending. I love novels that are able to get this kind of a reaction out of readers, and boy did Cecy Robson and Renée Chambliss ever get one out of me!

The WEIRD GIRLS universe offers tons of original twists on everyday paranormal lore which is a huge draw for genre fiction bookworms. It’s the little things that make all the difference such as a gold allergy instead of a silver one, and exceptions to the rules like Gemini. I enjoyed the nature of this installment’s plot more than its predecessor, although I did find that too much emphasis was placed on the romance.

The four sisters continued to make names for themselves as characters, especially Celia, and I liked that each of the individual couples got some exposure as well. However, I wasn’t thrilled with the eldest Wird’s temper tantrum as a result of her mate making the only call available to him given the circumstances. It was selfish, and lasted longer than necessary, albeit admittedly he could have went about it differently too.

Renée Chambliss delivered another spellbinding performance, and complain as I may about Celia’s outbursts, these particular scenes allowed the narrator to show her mettle by giving these emotionally charged scenes her all. Perhaps she even over-acted them, and is partially to blame for my main beef with this audio. Regardless, I enjoyed Chambliss’ rendition, and am kinda bummed that I’ll have to switch to reading after book 3.

A CURSED EMBRACE was just a hair’s breadth away from Urban Fantasy perfection!

So far I liked the book

I heard the first chapter and liked the book so far.
I have a small recommendation, if a translated script can be added for English books to understand more accurately. Other than that I liked the book, but a translated script from English to other languages would be nice.
Thank you
Regards,
