another Bevan classic

These are the books we will read to our children. Others will look at us and beg "why" and we will say. "mind your own business". These books grant me flight into the world of imagining. Soaring to a brand new place full of amazing metaphors for flatulence. So roll that d20 and join us. In a world of Caverns & Creatures(TM). Caverns & Creatures is a Robert Bevan product and therefore should not be played by anyone. If you do play. Robert Bevan is not responsible for any bodily harm incurred by but not limited to falling down, throwing up, diarrhea, Cooper farts, large birds pecking out your eyes, hafling's biting your private bits, Dave's mom, poorly aimed magic missiles, or confused NPCs.

The same recycled toilet humor-totally uninspired

Old recycled jokes, just made far raunchier in a feeble attempt to cover lack of story and inspiration. Robert Bevan is just riding the money wave from previous successes, and that wave is petering out into the shoreline. Big disappointment as I'm a huge fan of the earlier stuff.

an extremely welcome surprise

While thumbing through all the run of the mill books by gamers for gamers on audible, I was elated to discover a new book in the caverns and creatures series. This one has all the poop and fart jokes we all love and crave, and the great mr Bevan seems to be getting more frisky with age, as evident from the succubus story.

Jonathan Sleeps' narration is top notch as always, and this presentation had me laughing and giggling like a moron throughout.

I have a sore neck from nodding my head in appreciative recognition of the featured creatures and their abilities, while Bevans mad nasty mind always manage to twist the ecology of the creatures into something logically perverted, like how slaad transmit their egg pellets.

no need for the insulting political jokes

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I knew it was crude humor and i had no problem with it. But the author goes out of his way to make political jokes that for no need insult his reader.

Any additional comments?

The book did not down load all the way. could not listen to the whole thing

I literally peed...

I laughed so hard that I narrowly missed a chance to get to a toilet. Jonathan Sleep, the narrator, killed it again. He is the greatest narrator I've ever had the pleasure of listening too. Robert Bevan failed to disappoint with this latest set of short stories. Disappointing fans is the only thing he ever fails at. I can't wait for the next one.

Robert Bevan, you make life worth laughing

I can promise that 5d6 offers far more quality content than the pun titling this review but I’m a contractor not a writer.

The short stories starring the Caverns and Creatures cast are not the kind of funny that appeals to everyone but, if you’re the type of person that enjoys poop emojis, then you’ll probably laugh out loud as Johnathan Sleep’s deadpan delivery articulates the situation which found Dave spitting $#!+ out of his mouth... for the second time in a day.

The best thing about Bevan’s short stories is that they are absolutely, crudely, ridiculously, fun in a way that lets your brain take a vacation. You don’t have to remember sub-plots or plot points or try to find the deeper meaning, or predict how the story is going to end, just enjoy the book as what it is: the pinnacle of potty humor.
Spend the credit, buy the book and keep it in your library. When your boss ruins your day and you just want to beat him to death with a bag of dicks, listen to one of these stories on the way home. When your baby girl has had diarrhea all night and you just can’t imagine cleaning shit out of a baby’s who-ha one more time... listen to one of these stories. When your husband, wife, lover... whatever you’ve got going on, has left you and you need a story that has no deeper meaning, no romance, no heroic characters that make you feel bad about yourself, listen to one of these stories.
It’s a laugh out loud funny book that every person should have in their library. That said, Bevan’s book is like a chocolate cake; it hits the spot when you need something rich and delicious but you can’t eat it all at once.

Just what you would expect

If you've listened to the previous d6 books, 5d6 falls in line with expectations. Pleasantly surprised to find myself laughing out loud several times, but subtracted a star for the mostly phoned in story lines.
