not bad for a first book

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would expand the length of the stories and give them more depth. I would also switch to a more animated narrator.

If you’ve listened to books by Angela Cavanaugh before, how does this one compare?

I have not read anything else by this author.

What didn’t you like about James K. White’s performance?

He seemed too monotone at times. Certain stories he would change voices for characters when other stories he kept the same flat narrative style during dialogue.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Probably not because movies that are several short stories don't work well. But a select few of the stories if expanded into movies yes I would watch them.

Any additional comments?

I liked the premises of the individual stories. I thought that the writing style was done well. The biggest fault I found was in the short story makeup. In sci-fi certain background is needed to establish the world you are in and when that was attempted it seemed very rushed simply because there isn't time to elaborate. in other cases where background wasn't supplied the story seemed better. I would read more by this author. I wasn't disappointed.
