Publisher's summary

Who I am in real life doesn't matter; who I am in the game is what counts.

Before it happened, I bumbled my way through the virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game The Greenwood, made crap builds, and wasted my time.

Then I got murdered. A shadowy figure took my hard-accumulated possessions and left me to die. I admit, I did a rage quit and deleted my character. Then I wondered what kind of person that rage-quit made me? Maybe I was a quitter? And maybe I really was someone who would let a bully get away with disrespecting me?

But then again, no: I respected myself too much for that. I rolled a new character, I vowed to get good, and re-entered The Greenwood. I took on the name Barcud and the profession of ranger. I vowed to rise through the levels, hone my skills, hunt down the shadowy figure, and grind his face in the dirt. This is my story.

It would have been better

The editing was not the best, some of the dialog was repeated a few times. Hard to follow when this happens.

I've read fortune cookies that were better written

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I can't think of anyone that would find this enjoyable

What do you think your next listen will be?

Probably another book in the genre by an actual author that knows how to write

What didn’t you like about Kevin Thelwell’s performance?

Every character is the same and he sounds like a bitch teenager the whole time.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

ANGER.. ANGER that people have probably spent $ to read this horribly written book.

Any additional comments?

This was really bad. The characters were so unlikeable and the dialogue so bad that halfway through the book I found myself rooting for the villain to kill them all. Then I realized how poorly written was too at which point I was just hoping for an explosion to end them all abruptly.

This is a must read for Nubes

Sometimes bebopping around an MMO can be a lot of fun. The story starts the concepts of being way to multi classed. put the character eventually finds in her courage after discovering a mentor which is unlikely guild. This is actually a very good read. Highly recommended as a first lit RPG read. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
