A nice addition to the series!

This book starts out in a bar, with one of the main characters more than a little tipsy. That kind of surprised me, but I think it enabled Zach and Meredith's relationship to get off the ground. It might have been hard to make it happen otherwise, because Meredith was so determined to keep employer/employee boundaries in place. I got it.
I liked the fact that Zach didn't see the fact that Meredith worked for his family on the family ranch as an inhibitor to pursuing a lifelong relationship with her. He sure had to work hard to convince her!
The suspense in the book came in the form of someone stalking Meredith and it having something to do with her military husband's death. As the wife of a wounded warrior with PTSD, I always appreciate details dealing with the condition. It was also impossible to figure out what was actually going on.One of my favorite parts of the book was actually when Zach and Meredith went to visit with wounded warriors and Zach recognized a female soldier that he had gone to high school with. His reaction to her and his actions were a huge step to getting her out of the PTSD depression--if only for a few minutes. I loved that scene!
The narration by Johnny Peppers was wonderful as always. He definitely gives the western flare to the story.

Loved The Story

I loved the story. Zack came out swinging in his bid to get the girl. She was super resistant due to her past. then a stalker comes on the scene and creates havoc to further complicate them getting together. But Zack knows what he wants and is willing to do what it takes to get it. Hoo Rah. I liked the PTSD inclusion and especially when Zack meets one of his former classmates and brings her out of her self-imposed issues. She is a war victim who not only was injured but her husband was killed by the same bomb. he grabs her from her chair and dances her around the room. This caused her to remember why they were dance partners and she laughs for the first time since the bomb. She also accepts a job at the ranch. Sorry for the mini spoilers. I usually don't write them but they should help you want to listen to the book. It is less than six hours long but filled with what it takes to make a good story. A little too much easy sex for me but what can I say. The narrator fit the story well and brought each scene to life. Wish I had the privilege of listening to the first two. I got this book via audiobook boom and voluntarily wrote this review.
