Publisher's summary

He's a shifter gang leader. She's a halfling on the run. And the Wolf Hunter has just declared open season on them both.

Marco Wilding's pack is being picked off, one by one. The Wolf Hunter's mercenaries are snatching wolves off the street then dumping the tortured bodies inside Marco's gang territory. When they go for a shifter kid, Marco's patrol is on it, until a beautiful female wolf steps in and kicks the kidnapper's ass. The delay saves the kid, but Marco can't stop drooling over this brave, unmated female who mysteriously landed in his lap. Only she wants nothing to do with him. Julia Holloway's life was finally turning around, she was getting her degree and getting out of her mother's house with its parade of abusive step-fathers. Then her wolf went wild and ruined her life. Now she's on the run, but her wolf is still out of control. When it once again tries to save someone, this time a kid who was being kidnapped, she gets an offer she can't refuse; safe harbor inside a shifter gang while she gets her life back on track. Only the hot shifter leader with the passionate eyes wants a mate and wants her to stay. As Julia and Marco race to stop the Wolf Hunter's men, Julia will have to do more than just tame her wild wolf. She'll have to decide whether giving up everything she wants will bring her the one thing she really needs.

Great series - slightly different take

This story was slightly different from the preceding ones because there was more emphasis on the relationship and slightly less action with the Wolf Hunter. I liked that by focusing on the gangs, it was from the perspective of those living at the fringes, as opposed to the wealthier Wildings we've been exposed to so far.

I DIDN'T THINK I WAS GOING TO LIKE..

This one, HOWEVER I legit cried 3x during. it has just enough action , suspense & romance.
The characters were developed & unlike the previous one in this series it was just everything..
The female narrator is not one of my favourites but still. just so great.

Great book!

I love how the books in this series all relate to the other books in the series as well as the River Pack Wolves series, also by Alisa Woods. Marcos and Julia complement each other and you have to love a kick-butt woman!

great series but one thing...

the only problem I have is the male reader, he reads way to fast.. he reads like there are no spaces in between words. it's really hard to get into the story when the man can't even make a scene right because he doesn't breath. it's almost like he is either trying to rush through the story or prove how fast he can read..

Much better than the last!

Much better than the last book and an alpha female that is tough without being argumentative. Will read the next book in the series!

Sensual

A fast paced, suspenseful, and sensual story. Greyson Ash and Gwydion Calder are fantastic narrators. I enjoyed their enthusiasm, emotion, and heartfelt narratives.

Sighhhhhh

The side eyes I gave this book! The story was good, esp as they're still tracking the wolf hunter, but common-use words in this book and the rest of the series are irritating, How many times are the shifter males going to 'slam' their dicks inside their mates? Slamming is cool sometimes, but everytime is just straight up pain. Anyone familiar with the female anatomy knows this. Other commonly used ones: 'clothes off, NOW', ok sir, I get you want me... 'he was so big, she didnt know how he would fit', ummm, it's made for a baby to fit, I think a shifter cock can manage. Eye roll* - this just took away from the books for me. Otherwise good hero and heroine. And the part of the beta giving up his mate because it was what the alpha needed at the time? At one time, I felt Isobel wanted to be mated to the alpha, but we find out she really loves the beta? Which male wolf in love is ok with this??
