Publisher's summary

On the run with two small children and a third due within weeks, Adeline Spencer fears the approaching blizzard will seal their fate. An abandoned cabin is an answer to her prayers. She hopes it will shield them from both the storm and the enraged brother-in-law hot on her tail. But when a stranger knocks at the door, she is convinced they have been found by one of Ward’s lackeys.

Blamed for the death of his friend, Sheriff Jonah Hale is determined to prove himself worthy of his badge, even if it means riding into a blizzard to check on a crazy miner. When Jonah reaches the cabin, he’s caught off guard by a pretty and very pregnant young woman wielding a skillet. Bound to a chair while the storm rages, and as Christmas settles in around them, he must find a way to earn Adeline’s trust...and perhaps her heart.

Christian Historical Romance

This was a great book, it’s too bad the narrator frustrated me. His voice was fine and he even portrayed the children well but he repeatedly paused at the worst times.
I thought the beginning was a tad unbelievable until we learned why they acted that way! Fear runs throughout the story, but faith is God is bigger!

Went to help one person, but found family instead

Caught in a cabin in a snow storm, a sheriff was at the mercy of a pregnant widow, her two children and the storm.
Thankfully, the sheriff had a convincing demeanor, to overcome the harassed widow's reluctance to treat any male nicely, due to the poor treatment she had received up to the current date.
Off course there is much more than this to this romantically but dramatic tale, but you need to read (or listen to) as the author had originally intended.

Nice cover, simple story

The cover giot my attention. The cover doesn't seem to have any resemblance tothe story. The story is more Western and simple than the luxury seen in the cover.
The story is a bout a pregnant widow with 2 kids traped with the Sheriff in a cabin during a bad snowstorm. The close proximity and their characters appear to draw the 2 to each other. Then a slight danger came and slight peril for the widow, then the happy ending.
I guess since this is a short story, the HEA came quickly. It would have been nice for a longer acquaintance/courting (even if it was just stated). It wasn't also believable for me for a widow (of just 8 months) easily falling for another man and easily marrying. It was lacking a sense of love/romance and seems more conveniently practical (if that makes sens). I was also alittle distracted from the story by the constant pausing during the narration. It was just different from the other audio books I listened to.
It was offered free and I am giving my honest opinion about the story

Great Christmas Listen!

This was the perfect thing to get me into the Christmas Spirit! It's well written, and I'm surprised it isn't more popular. You really feel like you're snowed in the cabin with them!
