Publisher's summary

Sometimes it feels so damn good to be bad....

Photographer Wyatt Royce's career is on the verge of exploding. All he needs is one perfect model to be the centerpiece of his sexy, controversial show. Find her, and Wyatt is sure to have a winner. Then Kelsey Draper walks in. Stunning. Vibrant. And far too fragile for a project like this. Wyatt should know - after all, he remembers only too well how their relationship ended all those years ago. Desperate for cash and frustrated with her good girl persona, Kelsey sets her sights on Wyatt's show. But only the show. Because she knows too well that Wyatt Royce is a danger to her heart.

But when Wyatt agrees to give her the job only if he has complete control - on camera and in his bed - Kelsey can't help but wonder if she's in too deep. Because how can a good girl like her ever be enough for a man like Wyatt?

YES, IT WAS A GRIND ALRIGHT!!

In my library I've got (and have loved) all of J. Kenner's other audiobooks.. including the ones about the very memorable Damien Stark! So, as soon as this book was released, I downloaded it expecting to be wowed and wooed all over again with a new series from Damien's world.. but how wrong I was.

The narrator was awful.. at times I couldn't tell if it was the male or female talking let alone which character it was and I really didn't like her hero's voice. The heroine was so weak and continually had to pep herself up before doing things. I actually can't believe this was written by Ms. Kenner as the style of writing just doesn't fit her previous work. I'll admit by Chapter 13 I'd lost the will (and the interest) to carry on so I thought I'd skip to the last one to see how it all ended.. but, as I started to listen, I realized that I just didn't care enough to continue.

Worth a credit? No - and I never thought I'd be saying that about a Julie Kenner book. And, as I mourned the time and credit lost, I wondered if it would have been a whole different story if one of our much loved female narrators had taken this book on (or maybe I've just been spoiled by the best). I'll be asking for my credit back - and this is just MY opinion.. you may love it.

narrator was the grind

The story line was really good once you got past the narrator who sounded like a child rather than an adult. It was a struggle to know the difference between characters and if it was male or female.

Disappointed

I disliked this book. Story line was slow. Not enough passion. I would not recommend it.

DNF

Did not connect with characters or story. Was not able to finish though I've enjoyed the original Stark series

Awful. DNF

The narrator killed this for me. She sounded like a very young teenager and really didn't differentiate that much between the characters. I kept on having to rewind to figure out who as talking. Along about Chapter 2 I couldn't stand listening to the narrator a minute longer and switched to the Kindle edition. A couple of chapters later, I really didn't like either of the main characters and decided life is too short to waste my time on this book. I doubt I will ever willingly listen to this narrator again, and the author is on my "never again" list.

Great Story..

I always enjoy a great erotic story. This one delivers with a romance feel to it!

Wicked grind

This dance/ photography/ romance book was fun to read! The art world was portrayed in this dramatic story and I was interested in the series.

Second Chance!

Wyatt has always felt like he can’t measure up to the Stark name as both his grandmother and his mother are accomplished actresses. After seeing what happened to his father he wants to make a career in photography on his own merits not because of his family name. He is almost ready for his upcoming show but he needs one more model but he is having trouble finding the perfect look.

Kelsey has dreams of dancing professionally but in the meantime she teaches kindergarten as well as dances lessons to children. She needs money for her brother and fast as she feels responsible that he needs a special treatment so when her best friend mentions this opportunity she decides to apply.

When she shows up for her audition she didn’t expect it would be the only man she has ever loved and her high school sweetheart that she hasn’t seen for 12 years. Wyatt was devastated when she left with no word and he is not sure that he can trust her to complete the assignment.

Wyatt and Kelsey were meant to be together but sometimes life gets in the way. I did enjoy the story but I think I would have preferred a male and female narrator to differentiate the different povs.
