AN ENJOYABLE REGENCY SAGA THAT PACKS A LOT IN

When you're about to invest 19 hours of your life to a historical romance you're hoping for it to be an action-packed, exciting, emotional, passionate, well-written story that contains vivid imagery and interesting well described characters. Well, if you're looking to be entertained by all these things, then look no further because this is one of those all-consuming stories.

Royce, a handsome, rich, brooding American catches Pip, a little Street urchin, and starts off a chain of events that will have cataclysmic consequences that'll touch so many lives.... but especially their own. There's villains hidden within friends and family that hold secrets of betrayals, greed, danger and murder. But through the many twists and turns, conflicts and the constant 'push n pull' relationship between Royce and Pip she slowly transforms from a mere caterpillar into Morgana the beautiful butterfly. Along the way it awakens in them desire, sexual chemistry, longings, misunderstandings, sex (mild) and a passion that'll eventually lead to trust, understanding, love and a HEA will surely follow.

Narrator's American accent came across as British, sometimes the characters were indistinguishable and the dialogue was slow in parts.

Worth a credit? A daunting three part download that'll have you 'Pheeeweeeing' at the end but the journey you've just been on will have been entertaining, enjoyable and YES creditworthy.

- CAROLYN "I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again"

Good listen, in spite of itself!

This was such a good story. I am so glad that I forced myself to continue to listen, because I was not sure I was going to be able to. The reader, in the first 15 minutes, had me ready to give up and grab the book. Then she settled into a rhythm, chose an accent from the many she was testing and made an effort to stick to it. Her performance from then on wasn't that bad. But she mispronounced words constantly! This drove me crazy. It wasn't that she stumbled over words, she didn't even blink. Stayed in character and everything. And these weren't terribly difficult words either. Who knows what was going on with that. I realize it's not like spellcheck, but is there really no quality control?

So yeah, wonderful characters, great story - kept me interested all the way through. Good plot twists. Smart book. I'll find more of Ms Busbee's to listen to. Definitely worth a credit.

But really. VIS-count? Seriously?
