Snore

This was totally predictable and offered nothing new at all. Sex fluff sex fluff. At one point when the characters were talking in chapter 14, Brady was describing the warehouse and area he lived. He actually said, " I'm sorry. I'm probably boring you to sleep". Hint- if the characters are boring each other then it's probably safe to assume the readers are bored. I also had a hard time seeing these two people together. While I might have liked the two individually, I think it was a stretch. Can't finish.

Engrossing Drama

What You Need is an engrossing romantic drama about Brady (32) and Lennox (28). While Brady is the CFO of his family's industrial empire, he is not the typical millionaire playboy so popular lately. No, he is kind, sometimes insecure, and not a man whore. Yea!

Lennox's strong and sassy character is also different from the vapid, easily manipulated wimps that have become equally popular since FSOG. Lennox survived an abusive and neglectful childhood, but doesn't wallow in the past or self-pity.

The author takes her time having them get to know each; there is instant attraction but not instant love or sexual relationship. There are normal bumps as they become closer, with the conflicts inherent in working at the same company and having opposite income levels.

I would have given this book a 5 star rating if there hadn't been talk about sexual control and Brady needing to be "in charge in the bedroom". I was relieved that Brady wasn't actually violent or degrading to Lennox, but it ruined the sensual scenes for me.
