I love these books!

I absolutely love these books. The characters are so much fun, and I've become invested in them throughout the series. I love how you see the town growing with each book, and I love seeing the friendships and romances develop between the characters. Its also interesting to see the friendships, as well as the tensions, between the townies and the Lakota Indians. I never thought I would be the person reading "Mail Order Bride" books, but I am hooked on this series, and I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys westerns, romance, or just likes to laugh, because there is always quite a bit of humor scattered throughout the books. I listened to the Audible audio version of these books narrated by J. Scott Bennet. I love his narrations, and this one was no exception. He is excellent at giving each character a unique voice, and I really believe he adds to the overall experience. I can't say enough good things about him.

Lots of fun, sweet reading

Westward Dreams
Being a mail order bride answering mail from someone you don’t know is exciting but at the same time you never know if they are honest or someone you can trust. They pull you in with words, promise giving you someone you feel you know that is until you come face to face to find everything you have been told is a lie. Not much has changed over the years with internet but back long ago you didn’t have someone you could call to give a helping hand. Hannah finds out just how hard that is when she come face to face with the man she thought she would build a life with to find nothing he has said is true. Now in a land where she knows no one she turns to the sheriff for help, once she gets settled the first person she runs into is Owl the first Indian she has ever seen. Both are shocked with the way they feel but as they get closer and their feeling grow turmoil takes over with ill feelings from the man she came to marry and the town. There is danger, excitement, passion but you laugh and smile as well as frown with life is left in the towns hands.

Westward Holiday
Losing everything as you know it is hard but when you lose your reputation with it is the pits, when one loses all that and has to get a job when you have never done a day’s work well that is just downright mean when your father puts his self before the needs of his family. Rebecca has lost it all, her friends turn her back on her and she now cannot find a husband. Deciding to start over she becomes a mail order bride. The saloon owner wants a wife places an ad but isn’t too excited by the women who want to take him on. When he reads Rebecca answer he just as to meet her. Rebecca didn’t know what to think when she first saw the town, the Watering Hole well let’s just say it isn’t up to what she is use to.

This is a fun, cute read that brought me hours of entertainment and joy. I laughed and at times could really feel the characters pain. It is a clean read but filled with passion, that gets a little hot when people don’t want to say good night. Lots of fun teasing and the best part is we get to visit with old characters that I truly love. Rebecca maybe from good stock, high class but once she lets loose she is a delightful woman. Not everything is coming up roses, there are twists and turns that are exciting, a little painful and a little surprising.

Westward Sunrise

This was cute and a fun read. It was nice to see Elliot find a lady and Abbey is a lovely surprise. I enjoyed the twists and turns along with a little heartbreak. Abbey and Elliot are perfect for each other but there is someone who thinks she would look better on his arm. Something happens that could just put Ms. Abbey on his arm leaving Elliot all alone again. I liked the characters and loved the plot that are a few unknowns and maybe a little mystery.

The narrator does a wonderful job delivering true emotions to the story, you always know who is talking and just what that are feeling. There are no repeating of words, no background noise just a truly enjoyable listen that pulls you in. His normal voice is very pleasant as well as his character voices, his voice is easy to listen to and gave me many hours of enjoyment. He made me feel the pain and sorrow each character is going through as well as the excitement and danger that comes with this story. With his narration he made me understand why some people act the way they do and that not everything is as it seems. For me he bought this story to life making it easy to picture each scene as it was happening. His performance was top of the line pulling me in giving me a listen I couldn’t put down. If you haven’t listened to any of his audios you don’t know what you are missing.

Mail order brides books 7,8,9

I just love listening to this series of books. As with the rest of these stories I have favorites from each collection. Book 7 the story of Hannah and Owl, in book 8 the story of Rebecca and jake and in book 9 the story of Abby and Elliott.

My favorite of these books were the stories of Hannah and Owl. It was entertaining on how the two different cultures were able to come over their different obstacles and blend together as one. Keep them coming.

AN AWESOME CAN'T PUT DOWN SERIES

I can not get enough of all the characters in this series and how their lives were before and after they met and married.
I am totally engrossed in their lives and the narrator does such as great job that you can just see everything as it happens.
