I thought it was just one night with my brother's best friend.
The boy I had dreamt about since he gave me my first kiss, under the lights of the Ferris Wheel.
I knew he was about to leave for a year - no chance for a future.
But our one night together would create memories for a lifetime.
Our paths crossed again, but I had lied, and he was no longer the man he once was. He was warring against demons. Against the silence that was threatening to swallow him. And I had kept a secret from him, one he would never forgive me for.
But my secret was about to be ripped open. Displayed for the world on national news. And I had only one way to repair the damage.
I had to trust the man I lied to.
The man I never got the chance to make a life with.
The only man who could save what we had created together.

I really loved Warrior! I had already read the ebook ,but the audiobook just takes the story to a whole new level. I especially loved Joshua Gibson , he was just perfect as Ben's voice. He really brought Ben's character to life for me.
Susan Fouche did a great job as Olivia's voice also. I highly recommend this audiobook you won't be disappointed, give it a listen!

Thrilling Second Chance Romance!
Wow, what a ride this was! Warrior is the second book in the 'First to Fight' series and what a thrilling addition! Warrior is another name for a Marine but all the main characters are warriors in their own way. Ben has had his eye on his best friends younger adopted sister, Olivia, for years. Olivia has been in love with Ben since she was 13 years old. They have danced around each other for years, taking and giving and stepping back again. Just when you think it will work for them, life happens and it all seems hopeless again. Ben & Olivia are both smart, strong people in some ways and still young and maturing in others. Ben is attentive, funny and protective. He feels that he must take care of everyone from his younger brothers to his fellow marines to Olivia. When things don't go perfectly, he blames it on himself. Olivia is kind, loving and a bit of a spitfire. Because she was adopted, she doesn't want to be a burden on anyone so she feels she must do everything herself. They are a lot alike but compliment each other as well. Their banter is intelligent and funny and their chemistry is explosive. But when dangerous events start happening, will the mystery and fear they experience bring them together or tear them apart? I love all the secondary characters and the close knit family and friends, they make the story more honest and believable. I felt it was a little rushed at the end but the rest of the story had a good pace with some mystery & suspense to keep you engaged.
I enjoyed both Susan Fouche, and Joshua Gibson's performance. Fouche easily made me feel every emotion that Olivia went thru and Gibson's voice was so smooth and spellbinding. They made me feel like I was right there and apart of this world.
This standalone will make you feel everything from love to loneliness, laughter to heartbreak, and joy to terror. This is a wonderful series and I am looking forward to listening to more from this author.
