Fantastic Story that Soars From the Ashes
If you could sum up Untouchable in three words, what would they be?
exquisite, incredible, pure bliss
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the absolute beauty of the characters. They were already true to themselves and to each other no matter how hard things became. Their core strength pulled them through the hard times and their love was their constant encouragement.
Have you listened to any of Anastasia Watley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I listed to Lovely within this same series, and this story reached even farther into my heart and left an even deeper mark in its wake. I love this narrator's voice. It's like pure seduction wrapped in silk and topped with a luxurious white ribbon. Both books were performed by her in a manner that left me breathless and anxious for so much more. I am not sure anyone would read this author's books and give it as much justice as this narrator can. These stories comes to live and blossom under her melodious and rich, relaxing tones.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Can a woman disappointed and dejected her entire life finally open herself to the one man who would give her the world on a silver platter along with this fragile heart?
Any additional comments?
This wildly irresistible story has touched me on such a deep level that I know I will carry its mark for a very long time to come.

Superb and true to its title: Lovely.
I listened to this book on Audible and it was a great pleasure because the narrator was wonderful and she had a great book to work with. I enjoyed this novel very much because I love a story that introduces you to the hero and heroine at the same time they are experiencing those first impressions that morph into attraction, chemistry, resistance, capitulation and the growth of their characters. That happened here. Jonathan and Christiana fall in love against the odds. He’s on a different social scale - a wealthy federal politician; and she’s a college student home for the summer break, struggling financially, and the daughter of an alcoholic journalist. Despite their social difference, Christiana and Jonathan find each other refreshing. Washington’s political, fundraising and social elite interfere by playing selfish adult mind games to achieve hidden agendas; and a dark, looming danger, threatens to come between them. All the machinations and manipulations tangling around Jonathan and Christiana should not matter since they are only going to be together for Christiana’s college summer break, right? The drama all plays out well and I was hooked.
If you are into dominance and submission-based steamy scenes, you should be satisfied here – it is consensual and not abusive. And the steamy scenes here are scorching as they are accompanied by the couple’s obvious delight in each other. The steam is not gratuitous but has a purpose - it actually moves the story along. Sexually jaded Jonathan “trains” young, inexperienced Christiana, but unknowingly, and to his surprise, she teaches him about loving and honesty. Loved it.
I found the Audible experience here superb. I could not bring myself to pause the play button.
