Publisher's summary

Once, Ellie Kendrick was the only thing that Dominic Gabriel wanted, until five years ago when she left abruptly. Now she's back and her version of what happened between them so long ago makes him question everything he knows about himself as a man, and since he is now a lawman who lives by a strict moral code, he finds himself challenged to make things right.

He knows that they might have to look back in order to move forward, but can their rediscovered attraction survive the darkness of the past?

This is a prequel to the upcoming Untouched, but stands alone - no cliffhangers.

This book stirred up some feelings for me. to be in love and other people causing problems in the relationship between the lovers just makes my blood boil.

Tearjerker

The anger, pain and love poured out of this well told story. I rarely write reviews but this narration deserved it.

Heart breaking

This story really needs to come with a warning. Stating something along the lines of if this happen to you don't read. Memories will flood your mind n break your heart. My son would of been 18yrs old in June he will be 19yrs old. This really suck!!!💔💔💔😭😭😭

Skipped the meat of the story, wouldn’t purchase.

It’s a short story and the ending is magic. It skipped all the actual trials people go through.

The narrator was robotic and nasal. I wondered if it was computer generated, then I remembered that I have quit listening to most of the books she narrated.

Don’t spent the credit. If it wasn’t free, I’d be asking for a refund.

too short

I didn't want it to end there. There is so much more about them and her being back we can learn about and their future together.

Second chances are a bit sweeter

I liked this second chance romance. Would have liked more background on our main characters. Plan to check out the rest of the series. Narrator was great.

Too short

There is a need to read the sequel stat just so this story would come full circle. While I understand this is a complete novella, somehow I feel that there should be more not only from the MCs but from the secondary characters as well. So without a doubt I will be reading the sequel next. Fingers crossed it would give us the perfect picture of the whole story.

As for this novella, it is an okay second-chance love story. There may be an aspect to their back story that may cause a trigger to some, but all in all, it gives good conflict. Just quite similar to a daytime drama though but am not complaining.

this was bittersweet

I liked it for the most part... it was really sad though... being a new mother myself... that whole chapter really hit hard... but in the end they got their happy ever after...

good, but the narrator...

it was a good book, but I agree with another reviewer that the book could have been longer. It bothers me that books all cost similair prices or credits and yet they are so much shorter than others. I don't want fluff or filler but just a reduced cost. Anyway, Carly Robins it an ok narrator but she definitely lacks skill in reading the story and male voices. She reads and then escaltes to shouting type volumne. It's annoying because some seens don't warrant that type of volumne and yet it never changes from one book to the next.
