Publisher's summary

After years of lusting over Jake Wolfe, Nicole finally got a taste of the dirty-talking bad boy. During the scenting ceremony, he showed her how explosive things can be between them. But Nicole doesn't do love. She doesn't even know what love is. So how can she know if a relationship with Jake would be the right path to take?

Jake Wolfe wants Nic more than his next breath. She's curvy, mouthy, and so hot his blood boils just thinking of her. But Nic's been keeping him at a distance. And Jake is tired of her games. One fateful trip to Sin City and all bets are off.

After a fun night of drinking, Nic wakes up married to Jake and with a second shifter wanting her for himself. She'll have to finally face the feelings she has or shut them out forever. Their newly formed bond will either allow her to open her heart to love or leave Jake without a mate to call his own.

Warning: If you don't like sex of any kind, this is probably not the book for you. There's graphic language (yes, he tells her how he likes it), sassy humor (come on, it's a Milly Taiden story), and women that won't allow a man to browbeat them into doing what they say (unless they're naked). This book is intended for adults that have no problems with dirty sex, humor, and action. If that's you, enjoy!

ok

The narrator was lacking and in parts of book made it very boring. This book needs to listened to when you really have nothing else exciting to do. Great to put you to sleep.

Poor narration ...

Loved the story, as I did the previous books in this series, but the new narrator ruined it for me. I felt like I was listening to whiny cartoon characters. I will finish the other books in the series by reading them.

Why change a good thing?

I really wish they would have kept the original narrator! Lauren Sweet made most of the characters sound whinny.

It was a nice addition to the romance package.

I wouldn't have listened to it otherwise. The performance was good but I was a little queasy on the story. It's a lot of sex and violence with not much of a plot. If you like this kind of book, go for it, but for me it was a spicy listen for day off. I wouldn't have sought out this kind of book but it came in the romance package so I gave it a try. The romance package, by the way, let me try books that I wouldn't normally buy because each audio book is rather a spendy little buggar. It's a nice bonus for $7 a month.

OH LORD...THE VOICE!

I love the stories...well, the first 2. It's all about the narrator in this one. These strong female characters suddenly sound like airheads and whiney ones at that. I couldn't get past Chapter 2. I just picture them all flipping their hair and looking down their noses at each other. Jordan sounds snobby, Emma sounds like a 12 year old, Barbara sounds like the loudest PTA Mom, and Nic sounds like a total b#*ch. I'll try skipping to Book 4.

Narrator ruins a great series

The past two books were awesome, but for some reason they changed the narrator for this book. She sounds like an annoying valley girl and can't pull off male voices.

Love the story but narrator is awful

I love this series and was looking forward to listening to this book. However the narrator ruins this story. One of the males is called Eric in the first two books but pronounced with an A, like Aric, in this book. The voice is nasally and makes it sound like the characters are whining. So disappointed. Takes the enjoyment out of listening.

Great read!

I enjoyed listening to this story though, at times, I wanted to slap someone. I mean, they are a great couple, but the constant back and forth was driving me nuts. Nic and Jake were obviously in love with each other, but they were either too scared (Nic) or too stupid (Jake) to say the words. It was always revolving around lust instead of feelings. Eventually, they got where they were supposed to be all along, but while the journey was good it was also frustrating. All in all it was a good listen. I look forward to listening to the next story. Well done to the author and narrator.

Narrator

I didn’t like how the narrator made all the girls sound like air heads. Was hard to listen to
