Publisher's summary

A steamy and hilarious stand-alone romance from New York Times best-selling author Samantha Towle.

I'm used to being in charge. In and out of the office. So, when my parents go behind my back and hire a co-CEO to help me manage my family's business, let's just say I don't take it too well.

Especially not when the woman they've hired is the one girl who hated my guts in college. She thinks I'm an overprivileged, womanizing man-whore. I think she's an uptight, stuck-up bitch. And now she's here, in my office, telling me how to run my company.

I don't think so.

It doesn't matter that she has legs that go on for days or that I keep imagining bending her over my desk and showing her just how bossy I can be. I've worked my ass off and paid my dues to get to where I am, and she's not taking it from me.

No freaking way.

Morgan Stickford is about to learn the hard way that Wilder Cross is the only boss around here.

I think the girl is attractive

Chapter 13 and he is still talking about how good looking she is. Can we get into the story now.

Worst book ever

Don't waste your credit.
I hated the hero, and I despise the attitude he had toward woman.
Narration was OK

frustrating hero

the guy was so frustrating. Total manhore yet she has been in love with him since College. she's way too tolerant and forgiving. he did not have enough redeeming qualities till the end for her to be in love with him an okay read.

Not my cup of tea

The writing was good, but the hero is a jerk who (IMO) never redeemed himself. I understand how love can make a person (the heroine) look past another person’s flaws, but no thank you. He didn’t deserve her.

Like I said, the writing was good. I’d definitely give the author another try, but this one didn’t do it for me. The narration was fantastic, but I would have liked more Muffy.

4 Hate Love STARS

Enemies to lovers storyline that mostly takes place in the present but also has flashbacks to the past. Wilder has no clue why Morgan hates him so much but as we get glimpses to their college years we see why. I like the bickering they do when they work together because that leads to some smoking hot chemistry. Wilder is pretty much a manwhore even in the present so it took me longer to warm up to him. Also the way he handled the Sierra thing was so annoying! He should have fired her ASAP....he is the boss after all. Overall I enjoyed the book and it would have been a 5 star listen if there were a few more chapters at the end. It was all wrapped up rather quickly.

Narration was perfect!

Ending just fell off the cliff

What was that ending. The climax was super short and then all the sudden it was over. Like wtf actually just happened?! This book has potential. It was good until about 10-15 minutes before it ended.

Witty and hot

This was a fun listen. Mostly narrated by Joe Arden, which is more than fine by me. There’s banter, hot scenes and a HEA. Playboy finds his match is always a good story line.

Ending

The ending was rushed and could have been so much better! Joe and Muffy did an amazing job narrating!

utter waste

listened to a book by this author that I loved so I continued listening to this to the end hoping for it to improve
not so much
mr arden did well.....ms newton...just no

out of 200 this is the first book I ever rated a 1 - unredeemable
after 3-4 chapters played the rest at 1.6

so much wrong with this that it is hard to know where to start
- his parents were unmitigated jerks to him out of the blue and he's ok with it? no resentment?
-she shows up in adulthood and claims to have been in love with him since college although he never does anything but hurt her in college?
-her PA assaults him in his office and neither of them address it?
-her friend shows up at the end and said "she's always loved you" and they all just go with it?

never mind
I can't begin to address all the stupidity of this book
MAYBE??? .....maybe 3 small smiles in the whole thing, but a solid 4 chapters of sex - Ugh

Wilder and Morgan

A quirky, entertaining, and witty story. Wilder and Morgan embark bumpy journey, the chemistry between them is palpable, and their destination is one of forgiveness and growth. For a while there I was not sure Wilder could redeem himself, he was absolutely cocky, arrogant, and overly confident. Morgan is sweet, a little shy, but independent and full of determination. They are total opposites but somehow, they fit perfectly. I enjoyed this story.
Joe Arden and Muffy Newtown are PERFECTION. I loved listening to them.
