Publisher's summary

Girl gone wild…

College is supposed to be a time of discovery, but Danielle Vaughn never imagined it would be like this: Heightened senses, supernatural powers, and a sudden craving for human blood. Dani is a demi-vamp, the daughter of a human psychic and a vampire noble, a living secret kept hidden for 21 years.

As Dani’s heritage manifests itself, her thirst for blood is matched only by her hunger for Chase Diedrick. But as the son of the Vampire Council’s most powerful ruling family, Chase is already promised to another. Dani saw Council politics destroy her mother’s life; she won’t let the same thing happen to her. Besides, there’s no shortage of men who are eager to satisfy her every need, including the alluring vampire Kayden.

Unfortunately, Dani also has no shortage of enemies. Her heightened powers of telepathy and telekinesis attract the attention of a rogue vamp who preys on gifted vampires, absorbing their skills along with their lifeblood. Now, Dani must seek the Council’s help to quickly master her new vampire life…or risk losing it.

IT BLEW ME AWAY

I can safely say that my Library is overflowing with Vampire book/series but NONE, and I mean NONE, had the same impact on me that this minute by minute, pulse-pounding, gut-wrenching phenomenal and intense listen had with it's romantic and emotional heart-wrenching twists and turns, revelations, surprises, secrets and shocks. Cat Miller has created a new Vampire world with it's Laws, Dictates, Rules, Prophecies, Villains, Heroes, Heroines and innocent bystanders that'll suck you into the non-stop dramas and dilemmas that's forced, welcomed or thrust upon so many of it's characters. Then, at the end if the listen, you're left emotionally drained and dazed that the story has not ended..... but rather the battle has just begun.

I'm not going to give any further details as it just wouldn't be enough, or fair to give clues that may rob you of the excitement and pleasure of finding out what a gem this awesome listen is but I will say that it's also an absolute bargain at $7.34 for over 15 hours of pure paranormal escapism at it's best.... including any flaws.

Yuck!!

Any additional comments?

How on earth did this book get any 5 star reviews? It was horrible. Dani described herself as a "vamp slut" and she was exactly right. She started out with Lucas then cheated on him with Chase. Then dumped Chase, who she says she loves. Then went out with Jared to a club where she goes off with Chase to screw him. Then gives poor Jared an orgasm by biting him. Then she's with Kayden, who MIGHT love her, but she wants more time to get over Chase, all the while living at Chase's condo. AND I'm only at 50%.. Audible can have this book back because I don't care to read about the heroine who's all over the place with so many different men. Should have just continued the story about Griffen and Tessa, where the book began.

As to the narrator: She did a fine job on the male voices and most of the females but not so much with Dani's voice. Dani sounded somewhat like a 16 year old and acted like it sometimes, too.

This book deserves 10 Stars!!

First off don't listen to the haters they must be listening to some other story because I recently discovered this new author who is quickly becoming one of my favorites she ranks up there with Jeaniene Frost who is my all time favorite! This book was amazing!! It has everything from a great story line, amazing characters, a love triangle, unexpected twist and turns. I love love love it. I love the longer length of the book. It is well worth the credit and it will be a wonderful addition to your collection! Can't wait for the next books in the series. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome narrator she is ranking up there with Tavia Gilbert!

Don't listen to the haters!!

Trash

What would have made Unbound better?

If the romantic couples weren't cheating on each other.........repeatedly!

Would you ever listen to anything by Cat Miller again?

No, she obviously has a seriously twisted idea of romance. "Oh baby I love you but I'm going to marry someone else because it's my duty but you make me so hard that I have to have you and then marry the other woman anyway." This happens repeatedly. I feel used just listening to how pathetic they both are. And yes, she lets him do it to her, repeatedly. Lame!

Would you be willing to try another one of Neva Navarre’s performances?

No, OMG valley girl totally dude!!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Irritation, disappointment, sympathy for how pathetic the characters were.

Any additional comments?

Love, Sex, Action, & Mystery!

Love, sex, action, and mystery Cat Miller's debut novel Unbound has it all and more! Be forewarned, this is not your typical love story. Danielle Vaughn is violently thrown into a world that she could have never expected and as each level of deceit is lifted she finds a new part of herself. It also seems that for every part of herself that Danielle finds she also finds a new lover, all of whom play a vital role in the story and I just couldn't help but get invested in each and every one of them.

Cat really had such a great way of bringing her entire story together from the description of the scenery to every character. I really felt like I was sucked in. No character was really left abandoned in the background as she made every one of them, no matter how small have a roll in the way her main character lived her life and the decisions she made. There were even side stories that pulled me in almost as much as the main one itself.

With so many twists and turns it was hard for me to put the book down. Every time I thought for sure that things were going to go a certain way; and I wanted it to be so, it would suddenly change! Of course it was written so well that soon as the next change hit I loved it even more than what was happening before. The author had me so in love with every character that I just couldn't make my mind decide what on earth I wanted to happen and I just couldn't get enough!

Cat miller has me in the palm of her hand and I can't wait to read Unforgiven the second installment in the A forbidden Bond Series.

Neva Navarre was outstanding with the delivery of the story

LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!

I loved it all, it is different and an entirely fresh perspective on the vamp thing. I am hooked on this series. The characters are rich, real, and refreshing. The love story part is great and angsty. I loved each character and hope they will have their own books. Can't wait to see where this goes. Not your normal vamp series, hoping for the greatness to continue. Book 2 here I come.

Unbelievable

Any additional comments?

I started off loving this book and ended up wondering how a good book manages to fall so hard on its ass. Danielle turned from being a complete innocent to (in her words) a vamp slut. God that girl could fall in love fast. For me it made the whole concept of her and Chase as soul mates totally unbelievable. There was not one male in this book who I could truly Cheer on, there were just too many. Sadly this book was not for me and i am very uncertain if i will continue on with this series...

Vampire Love Story is Really a Good Listen

Any additional comments?

My biggest pet-peeve is waiting for the next installments when a cliffhanger is in play . I'm very close to giving up and calling it quits on Cat Miller. The first two books are currently in my top ten but I have been waiting too fucking long for book three. I do recommend this series to audio listeners if you don't have a problem with waiting a year to get book three. I know it sounds like I'm bitter, because I am. Bottom line is the books are worth the credits but I'm moving on to a knew series with complete series available

Could not put it down!!

What made the experience of listening to Unbound the most enjoyable?

The narrator did an excellent job on this one. She had all the emotions in her voice when needed and this story ran the gambit. The narrator would have made this book worth the read even if the story wasn't as good but it was.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It took me a little bit to get into the book because it's essentially two stories told simultaneously. This book has it all. It's a tragic love story, evil villains, vampires, romance and a happy ending. I can't wait for the next book. I will definitely pick it up.

Any additional comments?

I laughed, I cried, I rolled my eyes. By the time I was half way through the book I couldn't put it down. Great story.

The plot is limp and the heroine is weak and whiney.

Would you ever listen to anything by Cat Miller again?

Doubtful I would listen to another

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator seemed overly emotional
