Publisher's Summary

London, 1920. When 14-year-old Victoria Keats is thrown out of her home by her violent father, it seems likely she will starve until two strangers provide her with no-strings-attached help. As Vicki's life improves, she can't help but fixate on the mystery of these good Samaritans, but tracking them down may be more life changing than she thinks.

excellent narrator to my favorite authors book.

im a huge fan of beryl matthews books and was nervous about listening to the audio version in case the narrator ruined what i pictured in my head. but my fears were put to rest as the voices were very fitting for such an english book. willow nash does a brilliant job of putting slight differences to each character so that you can tell them apart and has a soothing voice for the rest of the narration.
