Publisher's summary

A clan war stands between them. Can fate bring them together?

After each lifecycle, Catherine returns to the heavens for a new assignment. This time, she'll be born in the Highlands of Scotland, and she's thrilled to learn she'll meet her soulmate. Circumstances will try to wrest them apart, but they must stand strong if they're to live a happy life. There's one drawback: Catherine won't remember anything once she's born....

Catherine is married to Henry Merrill, an abusive Englishman who resents her for her failure to bear him sons. Their one daughter means nothing to him, and though the bairn is sickly, he refuses to send for a healer. Desperate, Catherine ventures into the Highlands alone - intent on saving her only daughter - only to find herself in a life-threatening situation mere hours after she leaves the castle.

Revenge consumes Graeme MacGregor's every thought. Henry Merrill attacked his castle and slayed his parents and brother in front of him, and he's intent on paying the man back in kind. Finally, after years of training, he and his warriors are ready to mount their attack. But when he rides to Merrill land to conduct a final scouting mission, Graeme instead finds - and rescues - a beautiful lass facing sure death. The brave and feisty beauty reminds him that there's a life beyond revenge, but everything changes when he finds out she is Merrill's wife.

First in a new series, this is a stand-alone novel with no cliffhangers.

Trusting a Highlander

Awesome story well worth 5 stars and another wonderful narration by Paul Woodson whom as also gets 5 stars. Keith's books always teach subtle lessons or provide food for life changing thoughts. I have loved every one of her books an every audible book as well. Easy to recommend, some sex but not too graphic, very well developed characters and plot. Every one of these collaborations between Keira Montclair and Paul Woodson are exceptional. Well wore the price and time since they are all considered do not miss material.😀

What a disappointment!

The story was good but, could have been fantastic. The dialogue and love story seemed very childish, rushed and just plain dumb. The one thing I loved about “Trusting a Highlander by Keira Montclair were the characters! I’ve read all of Keira’s books and have really enjoyed them but, this book left me so very disappointed!

Just ok

A bit trite and predictable. Narration seemed forced and too artificially loud at times. Story line seemed interesting at first with the whole heaven reincarnation guardian angel theme... but most of the story was rife with uninspiring gratuitous sex scenes, strange transitions in story lines and a lack of character development. I was kinda disappointed but since I purchased it... I saw it thru till the end hoping for an inspirational ending. Didn't get it:( But I'll be sure to get enough vitamin D! Lol

Soulmates....

What a great start to a new series... I never doubted it. Medieval romance is always done right by Keira Montclair.
Paul Woodson does a fabulous job with this genre, the warm timbre of his voice makes listening a sensual experience.
Yes there is sex.... tastefully treated, steamy!

And yes, very much worth the credit.

Angels among us

I believe in Angels, I believe in Heaven and I Believe in God. I would love to believe that me and my soulmate will meet over and over again in different lives. I have trouble with that, because I have not read this in the Bible. With that being said, the premise and imagination put in to this story was magical.

What a great book!

An added dimension of intrigue in this Keira Montclair novel! I have completed 3 series and this is the 1st book of this series for me. This series, the Soulmates, is starting out as yet another “I Love this author’s books” . Thanks Keira Montclair for another captivating story.

Loved the story, not the narrator.

Keira Montclair is one of my favorite authors. She does not disappoint with this story. A very creative and believable story line. She writes a sweet, tender, yet exciting romance with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. However, I do not like her choice in narrators. I’ve message Paul Woodson and asked him to work on his character voices but even more importantly than that is his lack of tender emotion throughout all of his audiobooks, including this one. He does not seem to have the ability to be seductive, tender or gentle in his performance. Everyone comes across as very matter of fact. Who wants to hear, “you are so beautiful to me. I want to ravish your body now and taste every inch of you,” in the same tone and matter of fact way as someone at a restaurant saying to their server, “I want a Cobb Salad, but no bacon.” I’m not kidding. I cannot bring myself to listen to his ‘no nonsense’ style of narrating again. I wish Ms. Knightly would use narrator Tim Campbell for her next audiobook.
When it comes to tender, sweet moments, or sexy words being said, or female characters sounding like a female, Tim delivers to the point of making the listener shiver. Please Ms. Knightly, don’t ruin another beautiful story of yours by using Paul Woodson. He does not do your story justice.

boring

Rather boring honestly. Not much sizzle either. I wasn't a fan of the rebirth aspect.
