Publisher's Summary

Rune August has lived through many time periods but has never found tranquility until she walked into St. Agnes Home for Orphans, a place she can call home. She will do everything she can to give the children in the orphanage a better life. When a developer sets his sights on the property, she doesn't hesitate to fight back - and win. But that win comes at a terrible price: her life.
Refusing to leave the children unprotected, she watches over and protects them as the beloved statue in their center garden. But when the orphanage is renovated. Rune finds herself packed away and sold to a wealthy software developer in Moscow and his bodyguard, both scarred from growing up on the streets. Can she warm the hearts of two bitter, scarred men before the last petal falls from the Christmas rose that grows in the garden that has become her new home or will she be forever frozen, destined to only love them from afar?

Fabulous romance

I read this book several years ago and enjoyed it. Listening to the story, however, was fabulous. I was drawn in by the humor, emotions, love, and Rune's continued selflessness through time. Wonderful, well thought-out story with lovely narration. .

I absolutely adore this book!

I have read the story at least 5 times. I just finished the audiobook and Ms. Cook did an excellent job with the Russian dialogue. With the book and now the audio this book always brings me me to tears. It is a wonderful, heart wrenching, funny at times , splendid book. The characters are strong and vivid. One of my all time favourites. Many thanks again S. E. Smith.

A sweet fairytale

How wonderful would it be to have chances like Rune had to be happy? This story is beautiful and magical that captures my heart and imagination. Samantha Cook you have a sexy husky voice that portrays a female exceptionally and not too bad for the males either, thanks to you and Susan.
