Publisher's summary

Char is a focused and driven career woman who's had a relationship she would rather choose to forget, but can't. Riley is a pure gentleman who can easily leave the past where it belongs, behind him.

Some people believe in fate where others deem it a coincidence. Char and Riley are meant to be together, so life just happens to make sure they are in the right place at the right time.

But is that enough?

You’ll be falling in love with this dynamic duo as they find out who they are and why fate keeps making sure their lives are intertwined. Their differences are what make them all too similar, and throughout the course of their journey there is one thing that always brings them back together...the need for each other's touch.

Mis-Categorized - Good For A Young Adult Except...

Would you try another book from T. H. Snyder and/or Meghan Kelly?

Meghan Kelly ABSOLUTELY...T.H. Snyder, I'm not sure.

Touch me

I'm on the fence with this book. It was really good and under the category of 'Contemporary Romance. It was a sweet story and a bit unique which is hard to do in this day and age, I enjoyed it.

However there was not much 'romantic' action until almost 3/4 of the way into the book. As quickly as it arrives, it is over - it is descriptive but not overly graphic. But it was certainly more that you would find in the young adult romance, I would hope.

I am not a reader of young adult books because I'm a grown up. :-) I cannot say or compare this to anything in that genre. However I would consider it a well-written young adult book with several mature scenes.

Megan Kelly is an exceptional performer and I am very impressed with her narration. The author wrote in a way where the male point of view is expressed and then the female point of view is expressed. Meghan's female was almost perfect and her performance of male was very believable. I am always impressed and respect performers who are able to perform the opposite gender in a believable way. When I forget the gender of the performer because I am listening to the story that is a good sign.

Notes: Some descriptions of sex

Credit worthy/ $: *I was given this copy in exchange for my thoughts and this review.* If I had purchased it I may have been unhappy. I would not spend a credit on it nor would I recommend to anyone who likes the genre I love.

I would recommend this for those who like young adult (with reservation - for the mature scenes.)

I WILL be looking for more of this narrators work.

All tell and no show

I was given an Audible coupon code to get a free copy of this book in audio form for an honest review. I also had bought the Amazon version for 99 cents at some point because the written edition is in my library and when I click on it the receipt says I paid 99 cents for it. Who knew.

This is a book written from a dual POV. You have the young Char and the young Riley. They are young, and they seem even younger than they actually are. The humor could be what passes for humor amongst the younger generation. This was not classified as NA, but I would definitely classify it as such.

In reading the blurb on Amazon, Riley is referred to as a "pure gentleman." Apparently pure gentlemen say stuff like "What the (expletive delete), chick, did you not see I was reaching for that when your tiny little meat claws went to snatch it away from me?" And yes, ladies and germs, that was their meet cute. Well, their second meet cute. They had met on a phone call earlier. And that was just as charming.

But here is how the story read to me.

My point of view.

And now that I have told you all that, I am going to sit here and write this review. I am going to purse my lips in concentration while I write it. Then I am going tilt my head to the side as I think about my sister and all the crap she is putting me through right now.

Hey, I think I will say something provocative but yet sweet right now while I think about my life in great and belabored detail.

And now I will write about it from my husband's POV.

I wonder why that woman is always on the computer typing stuff as I sit here napping in my chair that I bought ten years ago with proceeds from my parents' estates. When I sit in it, it is like it surrounds me with the love of my parents. They were really great people and I loved them very much. But then after their death, things went awry with my brother. This makes me sad. If I hadn't already moved away from my home state, I probably would have then. I wonder what's for dinner that my cute, sexy, pursed-lipped wife is cooking.

And that is how I felt listening to this book. I was told everything. I was shown very little. It felt like I was going through someone else's to do list. The dialog felt cutesy and clumsy. It was written for reactions and not depth of character building or plot furtherance.

I listened to the Audible edition. The narrator has an excellent voice. I think she has potential to be a great narrator, but she needs more experience. She needs to figure out male voices a little better, to flex her vocal muscles. Or she needs to narrate books that fit her vocal skills.

When its love at first sight ...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Touch Me?

When Char is out with the girls and her ex is in the same restaurant as they are. The confrontation that follows is dramatic.

What about Meghan Kelly’s performance did you like?

I've listened to a few of Ms. Kelly's books now and I have found her to be top notch. She really knows how to bring you, the listener, into the story. Her wide range of emotions, voices and her ability to pace the story makes you want to keep listening. It is hard for me to put down a book she is narrating.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Just when you thought you wouldn't find love, you find it in the mini mart!

Any additional comments?

Touch Me is the story of Char and Riley and love at first sight. Char is coming off of a bad relationship and isn't looking for love. Riley has left is home in North Carolina and moves to Boston to make a fresh start. The two meet up at Char's friends house and its love at first sight. But will they be able to make it work? Char and Riley both have things from their pasts that they need to resolve. This is a sweet love story that I will listen to again.

Love happens when you least expect it!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes pulls you in and makes you wanna keep with it to find out what will happen next. Want to hear more when it's over.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Touch Me?

When they happen to keep running into each other in random places. How they hated each other at first and how that grew from there.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite part was probably when he took her out to dinner at the pub and she surprises him with the tickets and signed ball.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I was listening to this at work. And when my shift was over I ended up going home and finishing the book!

Any additional comments?

Can't wait to see if there is more for char and rylee! I will watch for more!

Narrator

The narrator made me almost not want to listen to this book. The love scenes sounded like they were robots. It made this such an unenjoyable listen.

A dramatic love story

Sometimes you find a book that you feel was written just for you. Touch Me was that story for me. The beginning when they first 'meet' was hysterical and that humor sprinkled throughout the story made it all the more real and personable to me. I loved the characters and how they are working to get past their pasts. I wasn't sure they would ever get together as a couple, but it made the romance more enjoyable rooting for them.
Thanks to Audiobooks Unlimited for a listening copy. I enjoyed this book very much!

Love this so much!

I really loved this one with Char and Riley. This had a lot of things that made you think fate is real. The instant connection with these two was so explosive. I love their journey to their happiness. I enjoyed this story so much that I saw there are a few more in the series and downloaded the books series and ready the rest since they aren't on Audible. Love all the characters involved. Meghan Kelly did a great job.

Beautiful Love Story!

This is a passionate story written with much feeling.
It tells of the meeting of two characters, Char and Riley and how they build up trust and belief in one another while facing life headlong and falling madly in love.
It built up nicely to a lovely climatical ending which I just loved.
Also Meghan Kelly's superb narration was just right. How does she go from totally female voices to those really good males ones so effortlessly?
Altogether a good combination of author and narrator!
I requested and listened to the audiobook version and my voluntary and unbiased review is recorded above.

When her Dad plays the trick on her. Shows what a close family she comes from.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Meghan Kelly brings everything to the story. I love it when you can tell whose talking just by the different voices. Plus she reads at the correct rate of speed for each scene. She did an excellent job.

I laughed at the joke Brice played on Riley and and his daughter.
