Romance novels

I am a fan of this series so I enjoyed this final book. My expectations for romance novels are not high. I am not expecting great literature or historical insight. I am looking for romance and a fairly entertaining story but not a powerful novel. This book was better than many I have read in this category. Not a keeper but good enough to listen to again. No surprises here but that is usual for romance books. The lovers usually overcome all obstacles which sometimes are considerable but in the epilogues we always get the equivalence of "and they lived happily ever after" if this is the kind of book you are looking for you will not be disappointed. I buy these books when I want a stress free, brain free, love story. I don't need to concentrate too much or really be distracted from serious matters. I can put it down when I am busy and escape when I have time. So depending on what type of reading you are looking for this may or may not be a good choice for you. As distracting fiction its not bad. Due to the popularity of these books I imagine that there are many women readers that enjoy this type of fiction. I would recommend this book but then I bought this on sale so didn't have much invested either. I usually pick these books up at garage sales for a dollar or less. I buy these audio books when I can pay $10 or less. I don't like to reveal the plot as there generally isn't a lot to begin with and it exists mostly as the vehicle to get the lovers together.

not as good as you expect

The characters were well developed. but the story line was drawn out. the hero and heroine came to their conclusions very early on which made for a very LONG conclusion. Great writing, love the descriptions and the narration faultless, but this is not one of our writers better ones - still - consistent good prose beats other drivel, so worth the download with moderate expectations.
