Successful matchmaker Brianagh O'Rourke believes in happily ever afters...just not her own. She's convinced passion exists only in her dreams. When she reluctantly accepts a marriage proposal, Bri decides she needs a vacation - but she doesn't expect it to be in 15th-century Ireland.

Laird Nioclas MacWilliam just wants peace for his clan. The time for him to marry has come, and after waiting years for his ally to present their daughter, he's agreed to marry another. But on the eve of his nuptials, a daring rescue brings his missing betrothed right into his arms. And she does not want to be there.

Brianagh has to return to the future. Nioclas has to marry. He offers a solution for the both of them: She marries him and stays for three months, and they work together to convince his clan they are a love match. In return he vows to safely return her home. Years worth of wonderful....

Ireland instead of Scotland and leine instead of kilt.... Still the perfect medieval romance a time travel legacy that makes it truly unique.

Excellent performance by Jane Jacobs.
No sex but true chemistry.
Definitely creditworthy!

A True Highlander Romance with a twist

This was a good time travel romance. It was what I would call a true romance with only one situation that had "relations". Saying that, the book was well written with an interesting plot with different twist and turns. This was well worth a credit.

good story

very predictable storyline, but good read. wish it would have given the legend of the o'rourke's in the beginning. would have been earier to be more vested in the story. wraps up way to easy and neat. overall good book.

Lack of details like watching black n white tv

Which 21st Century person time travels and doesn't marvel at all difference in the 15th century? A mother sees her daughter for the first time in more than 2 decades and no reaction or even visits or keeps in touch. If u have not read authors who can transform u then u will love this book series but if u like details that help u visualizes Ireland in in the 15 th century this author missed the mark.

Good story, bad narrator

I liked the story, but the narrator didn't do so well. Her voice was want more mature than the character, her inflections sounded like reading to a clean and I couldn't believe what she was saying.

It was refreshing to read an interesting and clean book. Can’t wait to listen to the other ones in the series.

Excellent plot

The author did a great job of keeping the plot forward moving and interesting. Her characters felt like family and the reader will hear the family love. This is not a predictable ending book.

Narrator Jane Jacobs has quite smooth transitions between male and female voices making the story flow gracefully through the chapters.

Waste of time

Though this book has the potential to be a good story, it falls far short for me. Conversations between characters are very weak, there is no flow, I very much doubt a Laird from the 1400's would use the language ascribed to Nicholas. There are many contradictions. I listened tthrough to the end, but felt many times I should end it and move on to another book. Causes me to feel frustrated.
