Publisher's summary

In the retail business, Christmas isn't a holiday, it's an endurance contest - and as manager of the Tyler-Royale department store in a major Chicago shopping mall, Brandi Ogilvie knows that surviving December will be a challenge. Merchandise is going astray and her staff is decimated by flu, but at least Brandi has a full roster of Santas. Then Zack Forrest shows up in her store, insisting he's the perfect candidate to fill Santa's red velvet suit.

Brandi's new Santa is too tall, too lean, too dark, and way too sexy for the role. But he's enough to make a jaded department store manager think twice about what she'd like to find under her tree on Christmas morning - if only she wasn't so certain that Zack is hiding something.

The Unlikely Santa was a finalist in the Romance Writers of America RITA contest for best sweet traditional romance of the year.

Good story, will listen again

The narrator, Erin Novotny did well. the story itself was nice, but I hate when characters don't give each other a chance to explain things and instead go awhile without speaking. I understand this is probably realistic, and many people may like that plot, but I don't like the angst. Luckily this was short-lived and all turned out well. I've listened to it every year at Christmas since I bought it, and will continue to do so though.

Christmas for Grownups

This was a unique, funny Christmas story that has a bit of something for everyone. There were elements that were shocking, funny, racy, and even tear jerking. Michaels kept me captivated throughout. I could barely put this story down. Her storytelling varies based on the action of the scene in question. It serves to heighten and highlight certain aspects of the story for the readers.

The characters are also quite well developed. I appreciate how you get to know them gradually as they get to know each other. It’s a very nice outlook for these characters. The supporting cast is also perfectly suited to the story at hand. They help the story out where necessary without taking the focus off of the main cast.

Overall this was a great Christmas tale that will get your laughter bubbling and your heart racing.

A sweet clean Christmas story!

The Unlikely Santa is a really sweet Christmas story that was a bit different than what I had expected, but it’s a very enjoyable story. It has interesting characters and an intriguing storyline, even with all the drama of Brandi and Zack constantly jumping to wrong conclusions about the other. I thought narrator Erin Novotny did a fabulous job with this audiobook, bringing the characters and story to life! I definitely recommend this story to anyone looking for a sweet Christmas story!
