Publisher's summary

An enemies-to-lovers tale about how far one man will go for the one he can’t help but love. From RITA Award winner, M. Malone.

Nicholas Alexander doesn’t mind being called a playboy. His charm serves him well in business and a beautiful woman is always on his arm. Except the one he’s in love with. As difficult as she is beautiful, he's completely out of his league.

Raina Winters doesn’t believe in love. She's convinced it's a scam created by greeting card companies to sell flowers and chocolate. So when she’s dumped right before her wedding, she’s more upset about losing the one thing she wanted from marriage. A baby.

When Nick learns about Raina’s dilemma, his first instinct is to leave her hanging like she left him after their steamy one-night stand. But he finally has something Raina needs, so he offers her a deal. He’ll give her a baby if she gives him something he desires just as much.

Just two little words.

I. Do.

Warning: This book contains encounters with a drunken Elvis, pushy mamas, tabloid shenanigans, several occurrences of bad cooking and hot sex between two people who aren't even sure they like each other. Just saying....

Mesmerizing and throbbing

Which scene was your favorite?

Nick's apartment after Raina nearly bombs her press conference at Sweeties. Nick tells her that he'll give her the child, but she must marry. He tells her that he can't breathe because she consumes his every being. That one night of passion was enough for Nick to know that Raina was his soul-mate and no other woman will do. I loved how matter of fact he was about offering to be the father, all the while I knew at any moment he was going to reveal his true feelings. The anticipation of his revelation and how Raina was going to react was overwhelming.

Any additional comments?

I'm not done with the book, but I felt compelled to write the emotions evoked by Raina and Nick's passion. I found myself paralyzed by anticipation, waiting for Nick to tell Raina that he loved her. That, not only will he give her what she desperately wants, but that she had his heart to. I honestly felt like Raina at the time, imagining myself looking into his eyes. the author is brilliant and talented.

These romance novels are not helping my husband, at all.

The things he does are not enough! Geez.

Well, the story started out good but fell a bit flat, dull, and annoying. The hero and heroine were just hard to like together. Raina was just a bit too much. Her character was not very pleasing or likable to be honest. NIck was supposed to be a bad boy wild child of the Alexander brothers and was basically just so nice in trying to please Raina so much it was nauseating. I just wanted him to dump her and be a bad boy again. It was very hard to believe his past of a bad boy type.

He did everything he could possibly do to please her and it was never enough. UGH!
The chemistry between the two started out great but due to her attitude and his "I have to do more she deserves it" mind set, ruined this couple. There was a couple of sex scenes, they were okay, vague at best, not erotica so if your wondering if this series is erotic it is not.

The story line and plot had potential and had the main characters been written better, so would the story line and plot. There was a lot of blah blah blah nonsense throughout the book. There was a lot of dialogue, and since I like lots of dialogue I did enjoy that.

I am not sure if I can move on with this series. This story was such a struggle to get through.

As for the narration. It was very good. I really enjoy Eva Kaminsky's narration. I think she does a great job giving everyone their own distinct voice and she does the men's voices well too. I have noticed that she gets better and better with every narration. She has a very nice reading voice and reads with emotion.

I have seen in a couple of other reviews that the Alexander brothers are african american. I read/listened to these first two books and just now saw this information in a post.

I can tell you that these brothers being african american was is not at all written in the first two books. The only reference to anyone being african american is the one reference in this book that Raina is bi-racial, which I also did not know until that one brief reference. I found even more surprising since she is the twin sister to Ridley the heroine in the first book (I read that one and loved it btw). I would have never known that this is an inter-racial book by just reading it and the cover does not lead you to believe that either. So if you are looking for interracial book you really aren't going to get that in these books. I would think an author writing interracial books would put that in her books. Just sayin...

Great Continuation of the Alexanders' Series....

What made the experience of listening to The Things I Do for You the most enjoyable?

I've read this story myself and being able to hear it read by someone else was amazing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nick... He proved his undying love for Raina and his unborn child.

Have you listened to any of Eva Kaminsky’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first Eva Kaminsky audio.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me laugh and cry throughout. Minx Malone writes these characters as if she is living them.

Raina & Nick were oil and water but things could

Nick was a man that had everything he wanted in life, that was with the exception of the one woman that set him on fire. He loved her. She wouldn't have him. It was fun an games their one night of steamy passion. He never forgot it. He finds a way to get her and make her happy. The one thing she wants he is more than happy to provide her with.

Watching Raina and Nick fall in love through ups and downs was fun. Watching Raina come to terms with the fact she loved Nick was beautiful. Eva did a fabulous job with the narration. She makes the story move right along. She does a lot of the right things to make the audio enjoyable to listen to.

Eva did it again. The consistency of the voice from the previous additions in this series. She has kept them all smooth, clear, clean, and easy to distinguish.

RARE 5 Star-I Didn't Like Raina But Loved the Book

Model and reality TV star Raina Winters' wants a baby. After her plans fall through and Nicholas Alexander finds out, he steps in and offers his 'services.' Raina remembers their one night tryst fondly and she grudgingly accepts his offer. MARRIAGE 1st and then they will work on babymaking. Will they be able to do this without developing deeper feelings for one another? Nicholas hopes not, as he is in love with Raina.

I did not like Raina. She was a selfish, self absorbed, ungrateful, angry person. Poor Nicholas is her verbal punching bag, right up to the end! Nicholas, on the other hand, is a saint, turning himself inside out to try to be who Raina thinks she wants.

Eva Kaminsky is a brilliant narrator! Her performance of male characters was deep and husky. The female characters were lovely and each had her own voice.

The Things I Liked About This Book

I'm solidly sold on this series. Each book gets hotter, the world larger and the characters become family. Even as we get a sexy little love story, the author introduces other characters to be featured in future books. I'll be listening to more in this series for certain.

Best in Series

Of all the Alexander books, this one I felt was the best. I usually just listen to my audio books in the car. How, I could not stop listening to this one. The funniest part was the marriage in Vegas. When the Elvis marriage man was druck, I found myself laughing out loud. Nick was the true heart of this story and the Alexander brothers. The was kind, loving, and a all around good man. The kind of man every women wants to one day find. He was not perfect, but he was good.

Story was 'OK' Ending was aweful!

Would you listen to The Things I Do for You again? Why?

No, lets just say, if you had asked me what this story was about the day after listening to it, I would have drawn a blank. The ending was the worst part. It wasn't a bad story just not memorable and a little weak.

Would you recommend The Things I Do for You to your friends? Why or why not?

No...nothing spectacular about it. It had tons of potential but author disappointed, especially the ending!

What about Eva Kaminsky’s performance did you like?

I didn't haha

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nope
