With the stunning prose and engaging characters of The Silent Governess, Christy Award finalist Julie Klassen whisks listeners away to Regency England for a compelling tale of romance and intrigue. Thinking she’s guilty of a crime, Olivia Keene flees her home and stumbles upon a grand estate—and a damaging secret. To ensure her silence, Lord Bradley insists she serve in his opulent manor.
“Klassen expertly infuses her … inspirational tale with a gothic atmosphere, resulting in a sweetly intriguing romance worthy of Victoria Holt.” (Booklist)

Another great listen!
It started out negative and with some dire circumstances, but it ended well and I consider it another great listen from Julie Klassen with great narration by Elizabeth Jasicki.
Another "reader" had posted a negative review stating this book was not a Christian book and talked of rape and other horrendous things. I only found brief discussion of a scoundrel taking advantage of a woman, but not any gory details and it was handled very delicately and tactfully, just enough to explain the story. There are many Christian references and some characters do make commitments to God and have transformed lives.
I will listen to more books written by Julie Klassen and narrated by Elizabeth Jasicki.
