Pretty good, except....

The story is good, although it seemed to end rather on a dull note. The narrator was good, except when she whined and cried .
The character Sophie cried a lot. I've listened to literally hundreds of books, and never heard a narrator wail and weep quite so annoyingly or loudly. This book is worth listening to, but be ready to turn the volume down when Sophie enters a room.

Hummm

The beginning was extremely confusing. I’m sure this is just part of a series so I decided to keep listening to see if it would redeem itself. It had a plethora of characters (apparently introduced at an earlier time ) that were introduced in such a rush that it was difficult to figure out what in the world was going on. It seemed to finally even out once it got into the story. Unfortunately the narrator- although her reading skills are excellent, her voices for men are so gruff and almost exactly alike that it was difficult to figure out who was speaking at times. Some of the women had similar voices as well, adding to the confusion. Not sure if I’ll go one to the next.

Good story, but narration editing was crap

I like the Narrator and I like the story, but at least three different times during the story, a sentence was repeated one after another. Did anyone preview this before they put it on the market? Annoying! Otherwise, I was pleased.

Anne Flosnik cannot pronounce F

I am sorry to be rude but the reader sounded like her dentures were falling off. I couldn't finish the story.

very satisfied

I loved reading the book and the narrator gave more depth to emotional passages, making it a pleasurable and heightened experience.

Pride and Prejudice similarities

The story was too long.
Similar to Pride and prejudice in that they both can't get out of their own way.
Sweet love story however.

Best of the group

After reading book 3 and 4 this was a refief after the arguing and lack of communicating. Arthur was a thoughtful person that loved deeply and forever.

Great twist to the usual Regency story

This is the first time we dont have the woman seen as the paragon of virtue that the scoundrel husband has to bow down to so that he can prove he is worthy. Also the drama doesn't feel so forced and overwhelming in this story it flows naturally..

Liked It A Lot

I enjoyed this book even though the main characters are beyond idiotic. They have a bad case of the ailment which is suffered by many in other romance stories. They desperately love each other but refuse, for one reason or another, to say the magic words. Most of their strife is a resulting the head games they play.
