Loved this book!

Kathy Coopmans is fast becoming one of my favorite listens. This second chance romance is gritty, emotional, a little suspenseful and all around fun. Growing up together in foster care, Joslyn and Roman have that unbreakable bond. When life circumstances kick in, they separate and even though they are apart, their hearts are always together. As life is always throwing curve balls, these two are thrown back together and their second chance is given to them, but with life threats coming at them, it is unsure how things will turn out. Coopmans has woven together just the right amount of suspense into this story, and I loved that no matter what I was concluding, the actual outcome was a surprise! The well developed characters are easy to fall in love with and their connection is hot! Roman is such the over protective male, and while his match is definitely Joslyn, she has incredible spunk. This is a great start to this new series.

Narration by this seasoned team was perfect. Logan McAllister give that growlie rockstar sound to Roman. You can feel his possessiveness as he is telling the story. Voicing Joslyn, Lacy Laurel gives this character such confidence and at the same time, you can feel her vulnerability, a task not easily portrayed in narration. It is a great listen.

Gritty and suspenseful

Having read and or listened to quite a few books by Kathy Coopmans, I was intrigued by this story. Narrated by Logan McAllister and Lacy Laurel they did a great job of bringing this story to life.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, I’m really not sure why, but it took me a while to get in to this story but I did I find this second chance at love story to be well written and entertaining. Both Roman and Joslyn were strong characters and The Right Direction was emotional, suspenseful and gritty.

Surviving foster care can be so hard and bonds formed are often unbreakable and although they are pulled apart by life, they never forget. When life brings them back together, will this be the beginning of something wonderful or will danger rear it’s ugly head?

Kathy Coopmans managed to surprise me whilst listening to this book and I look forward to reading and listening to more in the future.

Yes please!!!

Looking for fantastic, second chance romance?! Look no further because this is what you want to listen to. The author never disappoints with writing amazing characters in storylines that suck you in and make time fly. The narrators did an outstanding job bringing them to life. Make sure this one is on your list.

Amazing second chance romance

I absolutely LOVED this one! Complex characters, great story, and plenty of drama kept things interesting, but the lasting love of Roman and Joslyn is what makes this book amazing. Fantastic dual narration. Both of the narrators are fantastic and brought the story to vivid life with so much emotion in their performances. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

This is the second book I've listened to by Kathy Coopmans. I like her writing style and the characters/worlds she creates. The Right Direction portrays the seedy underbelly of the LA superstar world. The mystery of who is threatening Joslyn was done very well and kept me interested and listening to find out who was behind the threats. Second-chance romances is a trope I love and Joslyn and Roman's romance and reconnection was epic.

Excellent narration, stand alone story

This story started off with a racy scene so I was initially wondering if there was going to be a plot, but yes, there is. I'm not a big fan of second chance romance, but I do like romantic suspense. If you're a fan of both, especially if it's heavy on the second chance and the emotions/descriptions, then this would be a great choice for you. I would have liked to give the story 4.5 stars.

Lacy Laurel and Logan McAllister did an excellent job with the narration. I always appreciate when they have two narrators for two different points of view.

Not a Great Start

This wasn’t a bad story, but I felt like it didn’t have much substance to it. There was some good potential to make it more than the same old second-chance romance. I think more than anything this book provided a potentially strong foundation for future books.

I listed to the audio performed by Lacy Laurel and Logan McAllister. Both did a great job bringing this book to life.

Great Narration!

For some reason, I had a real hard time getting into this book. I felt as though somethings just did not match up and some important things were glossed over. This story has so much potential and I think that is what helped keep me going. The characters are great and their history is amazing. The only downfall came with the timing and details. I'm not sure if I will continue this series when the next book comes out but I may consider it. I have read a few other books by Kathy Coopmans and loved them all. I look forward to reading other books by her as well.

The narration was amazing. For me, it definitely kept me reading until the end. Lacy and Logan did great!

Great Read

The Right Direction (Sweet Sin #1) was another great read by Kathy Coopmans. Roman is the lead singer of the rock band Trained in Black. Many years ago Joslyn had to walk away from Roman for her own good. Unfortunately for them, their lives were headed in two completely different directions, until the day that Joslyn became his lawyer. I absolutely loved reading Roman and Joslyn’s story. Lacy Laurel and Logan McAllister did a great job of narrating the characters and making you want to know more about what they were doing. I can’t wait to read more by Kathy Coopmans. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
