Publisher's summary

*Contains adult content and language*

My life revolved around two things. Football and my cock. And not necessarily in that order. Being the head football coach for a top university in Texas had its ups and its downs. The ups? Endless women to f--k. The downs? The politics that came with the job. From the moment Aubrey Cain walked into my office, she turned my world upside down. Being forced to have her follow me around for a month was going to be a pain in the ass. Especially since I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. The best I'd hoped to come out of this was a few nights with her in my bed. I never imagined she'd be the game changer.

Brett Owens was my assignment. Head football coach for a top college, bad boy reputation, short temper, and handsome good looks should have scared me off. But I was tougher than that. From the first words out of his obnoxious, dirty-talking mouth, I knew it was going to be a long month. It wasn't five minutes after meeting him that he hit on me. If only I had known his blue eyes would haunt my dreams and awaken a desire inside of me I never knew existed. This was business. There was no way I would be tempted by him, no matter how good looking he was or how many things he whispered in my ear. He was only supposed to be my assignment. Not the man who threatened to destroy both my heart and my career. I would follow along with his playbook for now. But who would end up winning was anyone's guess.

4 The Playbook Stars

Brett & Aubrey

You know that feeling you get when you finish and book and it was just what you needed.
This was that book for me. I enjoyed that Aubrey didn’t have a job like you would think. And I loved that Brett was totally a Brett. LOL ..

Once you read the book you will see what I mean. I loved that emotions can sneak up on someone and BAM before you know it your in love. I think that is why I like romance so much.

I do wish Aubrey had told off her boss at least once. He very much deserved it. I will say this that I am glad no punches were thrown, it’s one thing I have noticed in a lot of books. And this didn’t have that kind of drama at all. LOVED that.

Oh and the narration we have to talk about how yummy Rob Howard’s voice is and Mandy Lane’s performance was perfect!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

LOVED IT. HOT GUY MEETS HOT GIRL WITH A TWIST!!

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed it. Even though you know there will be a happy ending in most romance books it is a pleasure when it's done right. I would have love more sex... of course but it was still a hot book. I really really loved his dirty mouth. This is a multiple listen book. Great Listen

Asking for a refund

No just no. I don't know where to begin, it's that bad. Not only was the writing horrible.. the plot was so predictable and boring.. the narration SUCKED.. the female narrator needs to stick to her gender, please.
no need to get into the plot because it's accurate if you read the summary but it's downhill after the first chapter. It had potential but it took a sharp left veered off the road and just crashed.

The sex scenes were none existent and the few scenes that were there had no heat or passion..
I will not be listening to this author ever again. This is my first and last..

DO really need me to say it..but IMO I would not recommend this book not even if it was free..

One Word -- Boring!

I actually fell asleep about 20% in and woke up to hear the last 5% and did not feel the need to listen to what I missed. This book evoked no passion and the characters lacked chemistry. The summary was the best part of the book. The character development was weak, the plot was convoluted and the story was marginal at best. Had I not listened to the end, I would have requested a refund.

Rob Howard was a good narrator but he didn't have much to work with. Mandy Lane was okay with the female voices but her male voices sounded the same as the female. Sometimes I had to listen carefully to distinguish whether male or female was speaking.

Not worth a credit or a reduced price.

Just awful

Boring! Not believable! No chemistry! I’m still wondering who these people are that left 4/5 stars. Maybe Friend’s of the author, I just don’t get it. I stared this book 3 times and just can’t get through it.

Well, thank goodness, that’s over

I don’t normally give reviews, only when I find something really good, or really bad. Unfortunately, this one was really bad. I wouldn’t recommend this book. I saw several negative reviews, but most were good, so figured I’d give it a try, it was on the package, so “free”, and I’m glad! It’s definitely not worth a credit!

The male narrator was good, the female narrator was just passable, but you couldn’t tell who was supposed to be talking, as she didn’t have different voices for different characters.

The biggest issue for me was the story. It was choppy, random things happened that upset the characters and they behaved juvenilely, but then other things happened that they behaved like adults through... and then they break up with the love of their lives and after a few weeks they just move on? Really? Has the author never been through a real breakup? After 3/4 of the book’s character development and personality modeling, they suddenly behave in ways that make no sense, at all. Then they behave in even worse ways that make even less sense, then they behave even worse, and eventually at the end they kind of resolve it.

This story could have been good with plot control and a strong editor, to tell the author, “Don’t do that, readers won’t like the characters and won’t care if they figure it out and get back together if they do that”. Angst and soul searching is one thing, stupidity and emotional and physical infidelity is completely different, and not at all enjoyable. I made myself finish it because I had to know how it ended, but a mediocre book was completely ruined by the characters behavior and the last hour or so was a terrible chore just for that feeling of completion.
