Publisher's summary

Baylee Morgan is at a crossroads of her life. Leaving her marriage of ten years and the only life she's ever known, she starts over in a penthouse ocean-front condo in Santa Monica, California. She soon finds herself immersed, albeit reluctantly, in the daunting and perilous world of dating as an almost thirty-something in Los Angeles, unsure of how to act, what to do, or whether that hot guy she meets in yoga class is straight.

Sebby Powers' dream has always been to work in the film industry. At the age of thirty-five, he's one of the youngest up-and-coming producers in Hollywood. His life is perfect. Perfect apartment. Perfect girlfriend. Perfect dog. Until a friendship with a beautiful woman with vibrant red hair and a similar taste in cheesy movies throws his perfect life into a tailspin.

Can a man and women really be friends?

Wow! What a slow burn! I loved how the story followed a platonic relationship between a man and women. I loved how Baylee just gotten out of a disastrous relationship she moves away to find herself and finds Sebby. Sebby has his own issues he needs to work out. I loved how they push each other and step outside of their comfort zones. They developed a beautiful friendship. Great story.

Second chances

What would you do if you had your life turned up side down? Would you start again? And it gives you a second chance, only to realize you can't have what you want?
I loved this story, is of second chances in life, of overcoming your fears and find hope again.
It's a very enjoyable and sweet, with characters will you'll love.
It was narrated by Natalie Duke, I usually prefer 2 narrators, but she managed to give emotions to all the characters. Very good.

Slow Burn Goodness

Baylee is fresh out of a one-sided marriage that ended when she caught her husband cheating on her. From a small North Carolina town, Baylee is pretty naive about a lot of things. When she receives her deceased mother's journal, she starts the journey west to California to finally live the life she wants to live.

Shortly after arriving in California, Baylee meets Sebby while she's out walking her dog, Sport. Sport takes an affinity to Sebby's dog, Gidget, and that sparks a series of follies for Baylee, a bloody nose for Sebby, and eventurally the beginning of Baylee's first friendship in California. She starts having feelings for Sebby that aren't very friend-like, but they try the "men and women can be friends" route, as Sebby has a girlfriend in NY.

As Baylee tries her hand at dating in California, she realizes just how inexperienced and naive she is to big city life. Her ex-husband was her first everything and she doesn't have any experience outside of him and their small town. Thankfully, she has Sebby and a couple other friends on her side as she navigates dating and finding herself. Can they stay just friends, or will they discover that other men and women can be just friends, but they are much more?

The Other Side of Someday is a slow burn romance with no cheating and no love triangles. It's big on friendship, laughs, love, and personal growth.

Natalie Duke is a new-to-me narrator and she did a great job with the narration of this book. She tackled many different characters with different accents and I felt like she hit each one of them.

So giddy after reading this story!

I am so giddy after reading this book. It grabbed my attention from the first pages, I just couldn't stop listening to it. The best part of this book is that when I wanted to yell at the heroine for being stubborn, after a few pages someone will relate to her my frustration and make her reconsider which I absolutely love, there have been many books where I just yell at her, and nobody in her life gives her "my advice"! anyway, I am so happy I found this author. I can't wait to listen to her other books!

Funny and charming

This book was a breath of fresh air. You get sadness, friendships, and funny all in one book. A heroine I can totally relate to. Beautiful narration with the southern accent and fluidity of the authors words.

Finding your someone

Asking the age old question, can a man and woman be friends. Bayley is newly divorce looking for a change in a new city and Sebby is in a dead end long distance romance; even though they are attracted to each other, the two decided to stay as friends. I enjoyed that they took the time to get to know each other and then realizing that they’re each others someday.
New to me author whom I can’t wait to hear more from. Also enjoyed the narration which was well paced.

Great Read

The Other Side of Someday was a good read by T.K. Leigh. Baylee left her high school sweetheart and husband of ten years when she found him in a compromising position with her best friend. She left the small town in North Carolina and went to Santa Monica. She meets Sebby by chance when her and her dog ran into him. She finds the bucket list her mom wasn't able to finish before she died. She decides to complete the bucket list but never expected to fall in love along the way. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
