Determined to solve the case, Drey enlisted all-work-and-no-play Charlene Anderson's help. But the more time he spent with the beautiful forensic scientist, the more he realized their sharp banter fronted a simmering mutual attraction that wouldn't be denied.Charlene's career left no time for exotic playboys. Then she found herself under Drey's roof, in need of his protection - and a victim of his seductive charms. But when the late senator's secrets - and Drey's true identity - were uncovered, would Drey face the betrayals in his past, and his future as a Braddock, with Charlene by his side?

Voice didn't match the book

The book was great, however the reader...why can't we get an african american reader for african american books? Looking at the cover then hearing the voice was a complete disappointment for me. I finished the book but the reader completely through off the vibe of the book. I have no idea what the reviewer referring to that the voice was ethnic. NOT!

Need More Brenda Jackson Books on Audible

I totally enjoyed this book. I was hesitant at first because I prefer to read the actual book instead of listening to audio. Actually I find it boring. However the narrator did a good job with it and she had me hooked. I am still going to buy the hard copy, as I am collector of Brenda's books. I look forward to hearing more books from Brenda Jackson on Audible (especially something from Westmoreland, Steele, Madaris family).
