Evil Threatens, Faith Grows

Set in the early 1900s, on the California coast, this is the second in the Mercy Falls series. A new lightkeeper, Will Jasperson has come to town, and he also is very interested in the evolving study of the weather, and wants to become a meteorologist. One night Will rescues some shipwrecked men after pirates looted their ship . . . Katie Russel, the local telephone operator, accidentally overhears a chilling conversation . . . and then a thud . . . at her friend, Eliza's house . . . and then there's little Jennie, the abandoned baby, found at Eliza's house . . . how do all these fit together? As evil lurks around the corner, Katie, Will, and Philip (Will's brother) search for the answers . . . and things are never as they seem . . . Great historical tale, clean and full of mystery . . .

Excellent, like the first in the series!

What did you like best about this story?

I like the Christian aspect the best, the good morals, then I love the mystery, the who-done-it. Listened in just a couple of days, filled with action from chapter 1!
