Publisher's Summary

All he wanted was another nice part in a hit TV show....
Instead, he got a murder accusation, a road trip, and a crazy fan-girl....
Johnny Fontana was a handsome 21-year-old actor on top of the world - starring in his own TV show as the brilliant Detective Frank Morelli...until the network canceled the series. After not landing a new part in 10 years, he finds himself working in the construction industry, remodeling houses. Even this is bearable until his old co-star, Lawrence Everett (who is now one of the biggest names at the box office) shows up out of nowhere and brags to Johnny about all the things he is missing out on. Just when everything seems to be settling down into a normal routine again, the worst happens: Lawrence Everett is found murdered, and Johnny becomes the prime suspect.
Enter a beautiful, though overly-enthusiastic, fan of Johnny's old TV show, add a road trip through California to gather clues, and you have a delightful romp of murder, mystery, and hilarity as Johnny tries to figure out what really matters in life.

So much fun to listed to!!!

I have not had that much fun listening to a book in a long time! I lost count of how many times I laughed out loud. My family probably thought I was crazy! Lol

The main characters are awesome, specially Alice! She is so crazy at times that I have no idea how Johnny could put up with her! There are some twists and turns and I did not see where the story was going, but the conclusion is much better than I expected it!

The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life! In this book, you will find lots of humor, mystery, suspense, drama, twists, and a touch of romance as well.

I'm really looking forward to reading another book written by this talented author.

The Leading Man

This book has a great story line. The mystery of who-done-it is always fun. The author took me on a great adventure. I do wish the main characters had been developed some more. Their depictions were very shallow in nature. I like to know the why's behind the characters' actions.

I was not impressed with the narrator. I felt he was too rushed. He mumbled quite a few times, and there were times I couldn't understand what he was saying. I feel like this story would be told much better using 2 different readers for the main parts.

This book would be good for someone who enjoys a love story but doesn't enjoy all the gushy sappy romance scenes that normally come with them. There were several times I almost gave up on listening to this book and moved on. The only thing that kept me going was I wanted to find out who-done-it and why. :)

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
