Publisher's Summary

Even vampires need a vacation. But Decker Argeneau’s ends abruptly when he’s asked to help hunt the group of rogue vampires targeting mortals—one that might include a defector in his own family. Before he can worry about that, though, he’s got to rescue the latest victim. It’s all part of the job, including taking a bullet for a beautiful doctor.InsatiableDr. Danielle McGill doesn’t know if she can trust the man who just saved her life.
There are too many questions, such as what is the secret organization he says he’s part of, and why do his wounds hardly bleed? However, with her sister in the hands of some dangerous men, she doesn’t have much choice but to trust him.
Except now Decker’s talking about life mates and awakening a passion that’s taking Dani beyond anything she’s ever known. Being undead may not be half-bad . . .especially if it means spending forever with a man who would love her with his mind, body, and immortal soul.

Loved the story but the Narrator almost killed it!

I would have loved to give this book a higher rating but the narrator's voice really ticked me off. I love this series but her monotone voice made me think of listening to technical manuals. Her voice is not made for romance. Reminded me of computer generated voices.

Rick Robertson's voice was perfect for Rogue Hunter and Vampires are Forever. I was disappointed he did not narrate this book too. Please go back to him!!! Stick to one narrator for an entire series. It definitely makes the reading/listening more enjoyable.

Love book, dislike narrator

The narrator was so irritating that I almost stopped listening after just a few minutes. I'm glad I finished, because I enjoyed the book. Her voice sounds just like the telephone options menu voice, "please listen carefully as our options have changed."

Narration spoils it!

I love this series and have all the paperbacks. I dont have time anymore to sit and read so I'm increasing my audio library. It was my intention to download all this series but to my mega disappointment only a few are on audible and because I am in UK , I cannot download some of them as audible doesn't have the rights to sell to my area!!!!! also the audio on this book is awful. the voice is ok but its flat, monotone dronning. the accents especially the British one is cringe worthy. some parts sound like a child learning to read and some parts sound like an automated machine. Don't think I will listen a second time. waste of money. I have some of the others and they are brilliant. would ask for refund if I could
