Ass-kicking Guardian, Madelyn Mason, is the only female in a sea of supernatural males. College student by day, she spends her nights fighting for mankind - the innocents, the ones who have no clue that the things of nightmares walk among the living.
Larger than life Hollywood hunk, Brady Devens, has won the hearts of millions of adoring fans. But, the only heart he wants to win is that of his mate, Madelyn. She hasn't shown an interest in him as anything more than a friend, and he's beginning to think the Powers That Be goofed.
In this world of magik, mishap, demons, gods, and pleasure nymphs, anything is possible. Can they find a love that transcends time and space or will the Powers That Be decide maybe they weren't destined for one another after all?

nice introduction into Roth’s paranormal romances
- Gaele "We read to know, we are not alone ~ C.S. Lewis"
I loved every moment of this book. It was just as good in audio as it was to read on my own. I pouted when I reached the end I want to hear more about The Guardians and the upcoming war that is brewing. The promised mates and the lives of those who are friend and family... I also want to see how the bad guy meets his end.
I love audio books because I can listen to them and do other things at the sametime. It frees up my hands for other projects that I always have going on.
I think the most moving part of this entire story is when he shot her. I know it sounds twisted but the the emotions that played out in that and clear up through the part as she spoke with her mother as she was ''dead'' was the most moving. There are other scenes of course that were just as important but the emotion in that moment was off the charts.
yes as mentioned above.. the part where he shot her, she ''died'' and the following connection she shared with her mother then returned and the connection she shared with her ''men''
