Publisher's summary

What if a new woman walked into your life while you were still haunted by the woman you lost? Stunned by the accidental death of her partner, Darcy Morrow can summon little kindness for the beautiful nurse Alis Baker, the woman hired to tend her while she grieves, the woman with the too-blue eyes and a healing touch. But day by day, month by month, as the Colorado winter rages on, Alis' determined gentleness and unwavering compassion chip away at Darcy's frozen heart - even though Alis has a deep sadness of her own, one she carefully hides. As their unrequited passion builds to something Darcy can no longer ignore, she must make a choice: will Darcy let Alis into her heart, or will the harsh winter - and a ghost from her past - destroy the possibility of a second chance at love?

Overall Good Story!

It started a little slow but it didn’t take me long to get into it and not want to put the book down. Highly recommend.

TJ RICHARDS FTW

TJ Richards is one of our favorite narrators!! She really read this book with a clear vision of what she wanted each character to sound like. The story was fascinating from beginning to end. Wonderful job, TJ!

Reviewed this book honestly after receiving it for free from the narrator. Receiving this book for free did not impact my review.

Not my cup of tea

I didn’t care for the paranormal stuff, other than that most of it was well written and narrated book. I just couldn’t get into it. The ghost stuff ruined it for me, author tried to show case a way of letting go and grief with that and it ruined the book cuz it didn’t make it believable.

Sweet story

Sweet story about love being lost and then found again.

I enjoyed the ghost aspect of the story although it did come across as a little "fairy taily " in a hocus pocus kind of way at times.

Narrator did a fine job!

Touching story

Attracted by the title, I wasn't quite sure what I would find inside this story. This is the first book I've read by Natalie Vivien, and my first experience with narrator TJ Richards. What I found was a sweet, sentimental story about losing a dearly loved partner, the grief that sometimes is so overwhelming that we think we can't go on, and a love so strong that it spans dimensions. The story was at times sad, and other times joyful. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to review this audio book.

Thought-provoking

I don’t generally read supernatural type books but was intrigued by the synopsis. The Ghost of Chance by Natalie Vivien was so full of feelings. You can really feel what it is like to lose someone you love, one of the most important people in your life, their just gone. Then, you meet someone else… someone else you could see yourself being happy again with. But then, you feel the guilt from finding some happiness again. Can you imagine?

Darcy finds herself falling for a nurse, Alis, hired to help her. Alis is so full of life and has this charm about her. All of this is just an interesting concept. And like I said, it does have a supernatural side to it but I don’t want to give stuff away. This makes you think of what you would do if or when that most important person passes on and you’re left with to grieve. Could you move one? What about when you’re being visited by your dead loved one? Darcy finds herself in a real pickle!

I feel like Vivien really wrote a thought-provoking book here. If we had that one chance to reconnect with a dead loved one, how would you handle that? Can you take that second chance at love and start over again? I enjoyed the twists and it really pulled me in! Vivien really paints a scene with her words for you. I also loved the narration. This was my first time listening to TJ Richards as a narrator. I really think TJ added a layer to this book…. brought the feelings and doubts to the forefront.

Excellent

I really loved this story! While the story it's self was a,axing the narration by T J Richards was spot on and really made a difference. This an excellent listen and I highly recommend it. It's my first book by Natalie Vivien but I will be searching for more of her books

Bravo

A bittersweet love story with a side of paranormal. Natalie Vivien was able to capture such raw emotion in The Ghost of a Chance, that it left me stunned several times during this book. A wild roller coaster of a story that is heartbreaking, happy, and thrilling sometimes in the same paragraph. T J Richards does a great job capturing the characters voice!

Emotional roller coaster.

I was given a copy of this audiobook for an honest review.
This book makes you feel many things. From sorrow from losing someone so important in your life, to confusion of how to go on. From guilt of feeling something for someone else to happiness once again. You also get fear of the unknown and dangers you didn’t even see coming. All in all, this is a great book and feel everyone would be able to enjoy as you are listening or reading this story.
