Publisher's summary

Taya is almost there. Join her in this real life fairytale, set in the small town of Silver Creek, as she plans to start a new life by opening a little restaurant. Only to find a few rude people that don't seem to welcome her. But that doesn't seem to bother Felix Frogg, a local police officer, and the love-at-first-sight reactions he keeps tossing her way. If Taya isn't careful with the way her heart is softening towards Felix, she could be walking into a lifetime commitment of happily ever after that wasn't in her plans.

Modern day Fairytale

I love these short novellas and cute retelling of classic fairy tales most of us grew up with. the humorous way Jamie Brook Thompson retold the Princess and the Frog in this audiobook kept me interested. I love that the other characters from the past 2 tales are part of the story as well and that you get a little preview of the next book as well.

Angie Hickman does a great job narrating. Her tone and pace is perfect for a fairytale and she gives each character a different tone and inflection so you can tell them apart. She also does comedy well so you can enjoy the book and also fell the drama when it's appropriate.

Too cute!

I've listened to a few Angie Hickman narrated books but I must admit that this is my favorite! The story itself was a wonderful take on the Princess and the Frog and it was an absolute delight to listen to.

Fun Listen!

I love the quirky characters in this series. The books are standalone listens and yet mention characters from other books as a side note. The narrator adds so much to the story with her multiple characters she performs in distinguishing voices. I really enjoy this series and am glad I requested this review copy audiobook and wrote my review. I think the author is very talented in how she is able to write humor into the books along with a moral. This story showed that prejudices are not acceptable. I will definitely listen to more books by both the author and narrator.

Fantastic story with some very funny characters, loved the ending.
This author is one of my favourite when looking for a short/novella that will keep me entertained.
I haven't listen to one audiobook book that Angie Hickman has narrated that I haven't enjoyed. Her comedic timing is impeccable, it`s always a joy listening to her work.

Another Sweet Real Life Fairytale

Ms. Thompson seems to have quite the imagination. I am enjoying these modern day fairytales. I also like how Ms. Thompson plays with the traditional fairytale elements (names and origin of traditional fairytale (Belle, Cindy (Cinderella)). These stories are extremely light (think bedtime story).

Narrator, Angie Hickman does a nice job. I liked the accents she gave to Tella and Felix. While I could not tell which female was speaking (Belle, Cindy, Tella) or male (Felix, Adam) it didn't really matter. I eventually figured it out. I think if the story was more complex or longer, I may have gotten lost who was saying what, but as I said these stories are light and fun.

I was given a free copy via audiobook boom. I voluntarily offered an unbiased review.

A sweet fairytale

This cute story brings a traditional fairytale into a modern setting. I enjoyed the modern twist and must admit, now I want to check out the rest of the series.

Love fairytales!

Retelling of fairytales in a contemporary story is so much fun. This time, Jamie Brook Thompson puts Felix Frogg front and center. In demand by the ladies in town, Felix is a quiet man, and isn't looking for meaningless dates. Then Taya comes to town to help out Henry in the bakery and everything changes. The men in this town fall quick, and fall hard and Felix does his best to get Taya on the same page. But will her past come back to split them up? This is a quick, fun listen with a new twist on an old story. I love that the characters from the other two retellings are incorporated into the book, giving a flow to the story that makes the reader feel comfortable and at home.

Angie Hickman gives an easy to listen to rendition of the book. She has very good accents and gives each character a distinctive voice. I really enjoyed her performance.

Great Book!

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.
