Publisher's summary

Now that Macen "Hammer" Hammerman shares the bond he's long craved with Raine Kendall and his best friend, Liam O'Neill, he should be looking forward to a bright future. But recent trauma has exhumed the demons Hammer thought long buried. He must confront them while Raine fights to forget her past and Liam struggles to keep their new family intact.

When a shadowy figure emerges, determined to right old wrongs, he sets in motion a plot that threatens to tear the trio apart forever. With emotions running high and forces mounting against them, can they battle their foes and bury their ghosts so they can live happily ever after?

A good wrap-up to the series

Final book in series. Book 4. Must be read in order. Book 3 is "The Bold and the Dominant."

Overall, a good end to the series. Lots of drama and intrigue. Lots of emotions and breakthroughs.

On the positive side, this book has well-written drama with satisfying callbacks to earlier books. The new characters and secondary characters are charming and interesting. The love story is sweet.

On the negative side, I personally lose my suspension of disbelief when the supernatural is suddenly introduced into a non-supernatural storyline at the last minute. This is not the first series to do this. Psychics and ghosts all of a sudden? Really?

Sexy times are hot, hot, hot. MMF menage long-term relationship. Dom/sub BDSM lifestyle with punishments, public scenes, dungeons, toys, bondage, etc. This book avoids the concerns of earlier books re. walking close to the line of non-consensual / coercive play.

The narration was excellent throughout the series. Wow and wow. Great accents. Many distinct, real-sounding voices. Rarely heard this level of quality work in audiobooks. (And sexy as #*£%.)

Outstanding!!!

I've waited for a long time but it was well worth the wait. The book had everything from mystery and suspense to love, devotion and super hot kijky sex. Christian Fox has always been one of my favorite narrators and he doesn't disappoint for this book. My only hope is that a new series will start with Seth Beck and Heavenly... please tell me that this will happen....

Wonderful conclusion to wonderful series!

I admit I wasn't sure as I listened to the 1st two novels but could not stop because there was so much depth to the characters and I just had to follow their story as the plot grew deeper with so many facets to be uncovered. It was also interesting to see the personal growth of several of the characters. I highly recommend this series.

What a great series ending!

What a great ending to this series! Christian Fox is one of my favorite narrators, and he nails this entire series. He shifted so great between characters and they were so distinct, you always knew who was speaking. A testament to his not on narration skills, but his storytelling abilities. There were so many twists in this book, I almost got whiplash. This trio of authors pulled every emotion from me with this series. Macen, Liam and Raine go through heaven and hell to be together. You've seen all three of these people grow throughout this series into the great family they are today. Beck is the sadist when he was introduced in book 1, but there are quite a few more complicated layers to him in book 4. I adored Liam's mum. I really want to meet his sisters.

I'm going to miss them, but hopefully we'll get updates on the Hammerman-O'Neil family.

I can't wait to see what's in store for Beck, Seth and Heavenly.

Good plot, sadly riddled with problematic sexism and racism

I can’t believe how much slut shaming and mysoginy is in this book, particularly in how the female villains are treated. There is also shady non-consensual sex, this whole series starts with a female performing a non-consensual fellatio on male character in his sleep and the narrative shows no self-awareness about it. For a BDSM novel you would think they would be much more sophisticated in the understanding of consent. I liked the plot so it’s really disappointing. Not to mention that all the characters are White af. Heavenly rising, another book written by the same authors, was also so lacking in diversity and the one memorable non-White character was a disgustingly racist caricature of a Mexican man. These authors really need to do a little work on their biases. This crap cannot fly in this day and age

Disappointing

There was a good plot around Hammer and his past, but there were so many mistakes, illogical jumps, and body shaming on Marley that I almost didn’t read it to the end. The fairy empath introduces a rabbit hole that made no sense except to introduce the in-laws. Better editing would have kept it a true ending to the series.

Narration

I loved it! Christian Fox is now one of my favorites, probably more than Sebastian York. His voice for Hammer melted my panties!!!! His Irish accents for Liam and his family were spot on as well. Now I’m off to find another book narrated by him!

Love it

I have waited for this book to come out for some time and when I saw it I had to hear it. I was not disappointed. It's dreamy just like the other two. I am curious about Beck and Seth and they're love life. Would love to see a few books out there on these characters.

Very disappointed!

I think you three went to sleep on this book. First of all, I think those babies should have been Hamer's. Also there was too much of the busy body Liam's mom. If anyone deserved those babies it should have been Hamer.

Excellent

Omg. Erotic done perfect what a story. I wouldn't give it away but it is a must have in any collection. From book one to four these authors never let us down. I fell in love with the characters two strong ( but damaged ) doms one strong ( but damaged ) woman. The supporting characters all strong in their own rights. These books gave me everything, I laughed, cried, got angry and happy. I felt like it could happen to anyone. This book goes in my collection of great reads that I will listen to again. Along with their perfect gentlemen series and Sylvia days crossfire series, along with R K Lilley,s up in air and wildside side trilogy series. Some of the best reads in a long time. Cannot wait for more from these great authors.
