Publisher's summary

Evil can be very attractive.

Kiana Taylor's life is spiraling out of control. Plagued by insomnia and dark memories, she is on the verge of insanity. She sees a sexy doctor on TV, promising a way to solve her problems, so she pays him a visit, deciding she has nothing to lose. He is willing to help, taking her on as a subject in his sleep study. How much trouble can a psychiatrist be?

Dr. Stavros Kane comes alive when Kiana steps into his office. She is perfect for his study, but not for the reason that she thinks. He wants her and he will use her problem as a way to get closer.

When Kiana begins to suspect that she is a part of more than a harmless sleep study, she starts to investigate Dr. Kane. What she discovers makes her want to run, in order to save her very soul. He takes her on a dark, dangerous, all-consuming carnal ride. She knows that she needs to get out of the devil's clutches. But does she really want to get away from him?

DID NOT FINISH!!

What would have made The Devil's Dream better?

This was probably the worst narrator I have ever listened to. It wasn't so much the sound of her voice but how she read each line- like she didn't care at all mixed with sounding like she was a 6th grader.
The story had promise but I couldn't get over the narrator so I stopped after chapter 8.

Would you ever listen to anything by Stella Noir and Roxy Sinclaire again?

Possibly- but I would definitely read more reviews before spending a credit on one of their books again.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Lacy Laurel?

ANYONE else!!!

An Awesome Story You Must Hear!

I really loved listening to this story. Ms. Laurel does a great job on the narration, she keeps it lively and interesting. I could listen to her all day long and not get bored.
Now the story, this story was amazing! Yes it is dark, yes Stavros is not a very nice man, yes some people may not like the story line, but I loved every line.
I would highly recommend this book to everyone. I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Devil's Dream

A Devil's Dream by Stella Noir, Roxy Sinclair is a modern day kinky Bonnie and Clyde.
Cursed with chronic insomnia, Kiana signs up for a sleep study, in hopes to finally get a good night sleep.

Dr. Stavros Kane is handsome, rich and has a secret. He's obsessed with making money and thwarting the authorities. His life seems almost perfect until he meets Kiana Taylor.
This book was so crazy and action packed. The adrenaline rush from the constant sneaking around made this book very entertaining. My biggest caveat was the insta-love... not a fan of this, if this is your thing, then this is the book for you!

My biggest issue with this audiobook was the narrator's performance. There were times that I struggled to hear what she was saying. There seemed to be an echo at times.

The Devil's Dream

Kiana is determined to find a way to get a good night’s sleep. When she comes across Dr. Kane’s sleep study Kiana jumps at the chance to see if it will help. Little does she know just how her life will be turned upside down. There is more to Dr. Kane than people realize, what will Kiana do when she find out the truth about him?

I am sorry to say that I could not get into this story. The plot was okay, but I did not connect at all with the characters. Kiana is a very naïve young woman and unable to think for herself. Dr. Kane is just a scumbag who does what ever he wants whenever he wants. The two are very one dimensional and I did not feel the emotions or chemistry between them. The story moves along at a good pace and narrator Laci Laurel speaks clearly but I was not pulled into their story.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Dark and exciting

The Devil's Dream is exactly that! This dreamlike story introduces us to Dr. Stavros Kane. He is evil, but the charismatic man can charm the pants off any of his patients. When he has Kiana Taylor in his program though, all bets are now off. She is an not what he is expecting and is throwing him off his game. Will she find out what he is up to? When she does, will she accept it or will drastic actions need to be taken? This has some exciting scenes. The mystery and intrigue push the story along as they steal hidden moments and the results for me were surprising. For me, I am not so sure the ending would have been the same, but that is what makes the story that much more thrilling. High passion and steamy scenes, Stella Noir and Roxy Sinclaire bring us dark and delicious.

Lacy Laurel brings this all to life with a fantastic performance. Each character a different voice and she lets us feel the darkness of this story. I enjoyed her performance and look forward to more.

Turning bad.

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is definitely a dark romance in which there are few redeeming qualities of the two maIn characters. Stavros, a drug lord, finds himself uncharacteristically drawn to Kiana, a seemingly innocent woman. If you believe this about Kiana there will be pigs flying by your house shortly. There are several twists and turns the story. The narrator does a good job of portraying the characters ' evil personalities.

Just not what I thought

I really just could not get into this story. Could be the narrator, I found her to be slow speaking, even with turning up the speed of play to 1.5, it was already at 1.25 my normal listening speed. It was especially hard to get in to the story, I feel the h had the totally wrong reaction to the H admitting what he did. While I love dark romance, I felt there could have been something more to this story. If this is indeed only book one, maybe it will have the answers I seek. But please have the narrotor speak a little more normal speed and use more inflections in the voice.
