Publisher's Summary

Bordertown private investigator Luke Oliver's beat is the dimensional fold in Manhattan between the human and supernatural realms. But now a secret from his past - the League of the Black Swan - has surfaced. Because Luke isn't any ordinary PI. He's the Dark Wizard of Bordertown, and he never backs down from a fight.
But this time the fight threatens his life and his heart. Rio Jones, the only woman he's loved, needs his help against a deadly menace. Luke pushed her away once before, so she'd never fall prey to the curse that threatens to destroy him. He swore he'd never let her go again.
Luke and Rio, with the help of the newly reformed League, must keep evil forces from taking over Bordertown - all the while battling a passion on the razor's edge between danger and desire. And it will take everything they have just to stay alive.

Great new Series!

This book had it all....There are Wizards, Magic, Goblins, Dark Fae, Light Fae, a Giant Goose, and more! Alyssa Day has me hooked on this new series. Great characters that are very witty and sarcastic with great world building. This book was fast-paced and on the edge of your seat entertaining. I couldn't wait to uncover the secrets that Luke has and Rio is a mystery.

I have listened to a lot of books narrated by Xe Sands and I thought she did a wonderful job bringing this story to life a always. Can't wait for Book 2!

Great Story to read, but hard to listen to.

What did you like best about The Cursed? What did you like least?

It is a light easy story to read. I enjoy, how the author brought lines from TV into the stor and the interaction between the characters. Unfortunately I am disappointed with the audible version. I had a hard time understanding the narrator. The narrator spoke too quickly. I also could not understand her, when she was speaking the characters part.

How could the performance have been better?
