Publisher's summary

Cadence Greer's plans for a happy-ever-after are quickly derailed when her fiancé runs off with his secretary a week before their wedding. Homeless, jobless and jilted, she escapes to Grass Valley, Oregon, where she finds herself employed as a housekeeper and cook to seven cowboys on a sprawling ranch.

Trey Thompson is a well-respected pillar of the community, running a successful ranch with his brother. All he wanted was someone to cook his meals and keep the house clean. When he hires Cadence Greer for the job, he gets more than he ever planned on, including a sassy little red-headed orphan.

Come spend Christmas in Grass Valley at the Triple T Ranch, where mistletoe hangs abundantly and holiday magic is in the air.

Cute, Clean Christmas Romance

This is a family-friendly, holiday romance with a jilted heroine and a hot rancher who find what they've been looking for in each other. A bit of seriousness, along with some light-hearted fun and romance with inspirational quotes and the feeling of having had a lesson by example in how to be a good person make this a good choice for listening through speakers while making cookies with the kids.

Chris A. Bell does an excellent job with the narration. Not only are his voices and timing great, but his pronunciation was awesome as well. Great choice for this story and the series if there are more. He captured the feel of the characters without going overboard.

Read!! Go! Read!!

Any additional comments?

This audiobook was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary unbiased review.

This was one of the best modern western books i have read in quite a while. 5 stars!! I love how this is a nice clean romance, no cussing, no sex, some Christian undertones, but not preachy. Trey and Cadence were perfect characters. After Cadence was jilted by her fiance a week before the wedding she goes to live with her aunt. Trey owns a ranch along with his brothers, where Cadence becomes their (after a stint in the diner) housekeeper and cook. And the romance began. I found it interesting that Cadence left her legal profession to work as a housekeeper and cook for a bunch of cowboy brothers on their ranch, even with her original dream of becoming a chef. That would be a big change, for anyone. It leads you to believe, that one does not have to go into the professional rat race world to be happy and fulfilled in life. I recommend this to everyone, you don't have to be Christian or moral to read this. This would be a great read for young/new adults looking to get in to romance without have all the sex scenes. If you haven't read this book go try it one of the best!

The Cowboys Christmas Plan

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyable, good clean fun and entertaining story. Just a feel good romance with a HEA. The story is constantly moving forward and flows smoothly with a good pace. Each chapter is titled with an inspirational quote. The story does have a slight Christian undertone.

Great cast of characters. Cadence Greer's life has gone through some drastic changes recently. She finds herself cook and housekeeper to 7 cowboys on a ranch. Reminded me of Snow White for a second. Trey Thompson is more than willing to be her Prince Charming. Little Cass steals the show though. You can't help but want to protect her.

Chris Abell did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Clearly spoken. Nice even pace. Good character voices. He was able to bring the story and the characters to life through his narration.

A journey towards true love.

A beautifully written non preachy Christian novel of one woman's journey from heart break to everlasting love and family. If only real life were this wonderful.

Old fashion sweet

Lovely old fashion sweet love story. What's not to like a cowboy and a girl falling in love. Throw in a small child in need to love and a few rough and tumble ranch hands and you have the makings of a sweet little story. Nothing spectacular just sweet. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. I would say this is almost pg except for last chapter and by today's standards even that's pg.

Not just for Christmas

I loved this book. The storyline was so good, the characters were well developed, and narrator did a great job. I loved the sweetness of this book, sprinkled with just enough drama that I was left guessing on a few occasions. Cass may not have been the intended star of this book but for me she was, I just couldn't get enough of her gentle innocence.

Great Love Story

I got this book via audiobook boom. This 9 plus hour story was so good that I did not stop until it was complete. The thing that made it so good is that it was a love story told without all of the sex and strong language. The H and h found each other at a time when neither expected to and they not only found each other they had a happy surprise that came into their lives at the same time. The secondary characters were so believable that I know there are more books to come from this one. The narrator was perfect for this story and did an awesome job. I will be glad when the next books come out. I am sure they will be just a good. A good clean romance that helps you believe that God has a plan for all of us. We may not get what we think we want but we get exactly what we need when we put our faith in Him.

If you are looking for something that is heartwarming and clean, this is a Good Choice.

The family is sweet and the characters are well developed.

This is the first book in a five book series and I look forward to the rest of the series.

Made me smile!

I really enjoyed this book. I love a good clean romance and this was truly that. Normally, I would say a female should narrate romance novels, but in this car I loved the narrator. He did each character beautifully, accents and all. I totally forgot my preference and just sat back to enjoy the ride. Yes the storyline was predictable, but it really didn't bother me. This went perfect with the holiday season.

Pleasant Inspirational Romance

What a pleasant surprise!, I really enjoyed this inspirational, sweet romance. I’m always hesitant to listen to a Christian romance because I hate when it becomes preachy, this book doesn’t do that, it quietly embraces faith and makes it a natural part of the characters in the story and that is what I like!

Cadence Greer is having a majorly bad week! First, her lawyer fiance calls off their wedding a week before the nuptials, then he runs off and marries his secretary, it's all just too much for legal assistant Cadence, so she quits her job and heads to Grass Valley, Oregon, where her auntie owns a greasy spoon.

Auntie Viv is all too happy to foist a waitress challenged Cadence off on Trey Thompson and the rest of his brothers, who are desperate for someone to cook and clean at their large working ranch.

The spark and chemistry between Cadence and Trey are immediate and when an innocence neglected child needs their help, the three of them may just have what it takes to become a family.

I liked that the drama in this story didn’t feel contrived, no over the top misunderstanding, just people trying to make the best of situations thrust upon them.

This is the first audiobook that I’ve listened to from Chris Abell and I like his style! He does a wonderful job fully voicing all of the characters, and when he voices the Judge, I sat at attention too! The production quality was good, some occasional distortions, but overall a nice endeavor.

This audiobook was given to me to me at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review, thanks, Audiobook Boom!
