I want to be Nina.

What did you love best about The Bookshop on the Corner?

Well, I love books. I love getting lost in books and I love anything Scotland. If I could create the perfect life for myself, it would be living in a small village in Scotland, enjoying the simpler life and truly embracing God's nature. Of course the hunky strong silent type of guy makes things even better.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Bookshop on the Corner?

The first kiss between Nina and Lennox.

Which scene was your favorite?

Nina leaning how to drive the van.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Lennox came to Nina and apologized.

Any additional comments?

Bookshop in a bread Van

Fun book which kept moving on from one thing to the next. From train, to farm. From Small town to the hills of open country. Everyone tied together by books! Since books are my favorite, I enjoyed knowing there are many readers who think they are Grand!

From Birmingham to Scotland

This held my interest and was better than I expected. Lucy Price-Lewis is such a good narrator that I forgot I was listening. She handled multiple accents, and both men and women with great skill.
The story moved right along and although predictable, had interesting characters and great atmosphere and local color.

Escape Into the World of Books

If a story transports you to a faraway place and time, if you finish a story and wonder how the world has kept on spinning, or if you find you return again and again for the experience, then venture into the story of librarian Nina and her adventures from Birmingham to the highlands of Scotland. It’s no Tolstoy, but you’ll discover lots of friends along the way who are as passionate over the written word and the wonderful escape it offers. It was a very enjoyable narration and a very pleasant escape.

The best narrator I've ever come across.

I have to say, the story is amazing, but the narrator is absolutely outstanding!!! I don't think I would have appreciated the setting and the culture of the Scottish as much as I did listening to the narrators take on their accent. It really kept me in the story and brought life to the characters in such a unique way! She is extremely talented. The story itself is adorable and heartwarming. I relate well with the main character and was very invested in her journey. The writing was fun and flowed quite well. Wonderful read, wonderful listen.

Books on the Go

I LOVED THE NARRATOR! SHE WAS VERY EASY TO LISTEN TO AND DID EACH GREAT. THE STORYLINE WAS UNIQUE AND KEPT MY INTEREST VERY WELL. I LOVED THE WAY THEY COMMUNICATE D BY HANGING NOTES AND BOOKS ON THE TREE BRANCHES. I'M ALSO HAPPY THAT THEY GOT TOGETHER IN THE END! I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS.
